Classic blackjack! Love it. Animations for the cards and coins were good.
This threw me off though :D
I'm a blackjack addict so this game is a godsent for me. Really enjoyed! The dice mechanic seems pretty interesting however I didn't fully understand it honestly, but I love that you tried to shake things up with it. The dialogue was also pretty cool as well, very good writing.
The only issue I really noticed was that sometimes my hands had the wrong values? Maybe it's a bug but im not sure.
Really enjoyed! Good job!
There is a visual bug with aces unfortunately. When the face down card flips at the end of a round, If an ace goes low because you would otherwise bust it doesn't adjust the UI if you still lose the hand either way. Thanks for the kind words :)
And I still suck at blackjack... Nice twist to the game, I like it.
I'm pretty sure there's a lot more nuance to blackjack in terms of how the card values are interpreted; I got 3 Aces and an 8, and I busted at 29 when I was supposed to be at 11. It's also a challenge to not know what's under the first card and I'm not exactly the biggest fan of that idea.
It's a bug, Ideally that wouldn't happen but alas I made it in a day and a half. If you were going to lose the hand anyway it never bothers to adjust the UI to show the lower value for the aces. The bust text just comes after as a decoration. Having one card down for each side was important due to the dice mechanic, it was way too easy without it.
Oh, okay honestly, I didn't even notice there was a dice mechanic. I saw it rumble at the edge of my screen and thought I was tripping. I saw it but didn't think it did anything for the game ><
Yeah I had a couple of friends play it and some of them didn't notice either. I should have added a line of dialogue explaining things more clearly. There are several things I wish I would have done differently but at that point I was just ready for it to be over so I could go to sleep lol.
Cool classic blackjack game! I wish there was a bit of twist with the blackjack but I like the atmosphere of the game! Great work!
