Since there is no discord/forum (from what ive seen anyway) I figured it could be fun to see what everyone has working so far! How are your games coming along?

Let's see some screenshots and hear about your game! :)

Super Coupon Club
Roguelike Deckbuilder

June 4th, 2026
Got the run win screen in a fixed a bunch of issues with post round calculations and a fatal error that could occur. That leaves me with 3 days to focus on adding more coupons and balancing things! I do want to create art for Maude and Couper as well, but those are my stretch goals now. Maude would appear when you popup the options screen, and Couper when you actually win (probably make him crying on his knees or something). I'm thinking Maude will have some mad scientist hair and those big glasses like bubbles from TPB. haha. But yeah, all is going well! Very excited to release it! :D

been listening to this sound track while working on it. I wish my music was half as good as any of these. haha. If you play my game, just listen to this playlist instead! lol.

(the previous edits to this post will be available in a devlog when the game releases!)

Got my game idea and concept complete and starting work on basic movement and abilities

Submitted

Nice!

I am starting on 5/20, I have 0 ideas right now.

Submitted

Oh nice! Gives you a good amount of time to come up with a solid idea though!

(+1)

Forgot about this , but I am ready/!

Submitted

Woohoo!

(+1)

I am in the middle of figuring something out, but I have a good idea being built

Submitted

Nice! Im kind of at the same point too. Got some good boilerplate done yesterday (code wise) but havent started anything major yet besides planning.

(+1)

I locked in an idea I'm gonna stick with! I'm figuring out the smaller details and gameplay loop rn

Submitted

Woohoo! Nice! Thats awesome you got a solid idea already!

(1 edit) (+1)

I've started to work on the game today, I have a pretty strong idea of what I want the game to be but spent most of today figuring out the aesthetic style I had in mind and making sure it works. And I think despite the fact there's no gameplay or any user interaction so far it was time well spent.

I'm going for a style inspired by visuals associated with the synthwave aesthetic, which I'm hoping should be easy to manage despite my bad art skills.  (I would post a screenshot but itch won't let me for whatever reason)

Submitted(+1)

馃憖 nice! That sounds pretty awesome! and yeah I think with itch you have to upload it but not sure if it works works with threads like this. Ill probably just use imgur and link them if I cant get it working myself. Haha.

Cant wait to see it though once youve got something going!! :)

I鈥檓 working on a cartoony auction game where you resell for money using a stock market and buy upgrades and go as far as you can until you go broke (trust me you will eventually go broke lol) (and yes I use scratch lol but I don鈥檛 think I know enough unity yet to make games there because that鈥檚 what I鈥檓 learning currently)

Submitted

Oooh! That sounds like a fun concept!

Submitted(+1)

I have the base game done nothing to do witht the theme yet though and currently my pixel art is looking good!!!

Submitted

Nice!! Im sure youll find it along the way! Haha

(+1)

Your UI looks so awesome. I've got some of the game's skeleton working, but none of it looks good yet!

Submitted

Nice! I still dont have any gameplay so it sounds like your taking the smarter path. Haha. Cant wait to see more!

(+1)

Gizmo, those transitions look really smooth!

I wanted to get a gif this time but kdenlive decided not to work today so I have a screenshot instead

I'm making a tower defense game where between rounds players choose how much money they want to spend on upgrades, invest into a savings account for later on, and how much they want to take into the next round for defense. I've implemented some of the basic mechanics to accommodate all of that and I'm hoping to get a vertical slice of the game done by the end of next weekend with a decent amount of visual and audio polish, assuming I don't get too busy with irl stuff this week.

Submitted(+1)

Okay, this looks awesome! Sounds like you habe a super solid concept! I love tower defense games too. Very excited to see how it comes along! Great work!

Submitted(+1)

Not too much developed yet, but I found the perfect name/concept for my game!

It's gonna be a 2D platform launcher like Learn to Fly/Burrito Bison. The more you invest, the farther you roll!

Submitted

Nice!!! I love the cute little pig in it already! haha

Submitted(+1)
Oh Great ... that's what I was making
Submitted(+1)

Ah, keep going! My game is shaping up to be different from yours. Still calling it Bankroll but the concept is more "keep things rolling" with investments instead of launching pigs.

(+1)

I鈥檓 making a game about owning a store, it looks really bad, but I have been focusing on the code part first

Submitted

Thats usually the best way to go about it! haha. Easier to change the graphics than the gameplay. haha. Make sure its fun first and all! I'm just an idiot and do things backwards for lord knows what reason. lol. Best of luck! Can't wait to see what you got going on!

hmm got the idea with another person, to make a crazy taxi inspired, resource management delivery game, starting out by looking at the needs of businesses, buying things that they need, then transporting it via a truck controlled by the player, making sure to manage what you buy else you go into debt

Submitted(+1)

Oh yeah!!! That sounds super fun. I miss crazy taxi. Haha. You should definitely do this so i can play it. Lol

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I also make a car wash simulator game. It's in development, anyway I have solved some of the core mechanism so I upload the demo first.

Submitted (3 edits) (+1)

This is also the first game I will try to make as much assets as possibly by myself. For now maybe using Inkscape only.

Music, hmmm... have to use ready packages.

Submitted

This is awesome! Great to hear you are challenging yourself with all asset creation too! This is a good jam for it since you get much more time to really experiment with things! Haha. Great work!! :)

Submitted(+1)

Yes we have more than a month so I decide to make design by my owned lol

Submitted

Best of luck! Cant wait to see some stuff!!

Submitted(+1)

Been working on a canvas painter. Say hi to Liam.

Submitted

This looks amazing!!! I love big bean liam! Haha

I've made 2 games already, but I'm not sure if I  should use my real name when submitting or any other name will be okay. And if real name, legal name or the name people call me by?

Submitted(+1)

You should make a nother thread that Host can answer you. Anyway it does not matter

Submitted

I always just use Gizmo199, even for my private resume stuff. For me its more of a "branding" thing (and ive been using it forever). I treat it like an "artist" name. If you win / they need legal stuff you will need your real info but that is usually handled via email.

All that to say, personally I think its really just up to you and what you prefer. :)

Submitted(+1)

Still thinking about it, but I've been considering plans to make a game where the player builds a building all while managing the cost and expenses to operate it. Hopefully i can go through with it.

Submitted

That sounds super fun! Ive wanted to make a sim tower game for soooo long, and something like that would be perfect for this jam! You should do it so I can play it! 馃槄

(+1)

Hello guys, my friend and I already made our submission, but people are so mean!

Submitted

Woohoo! Share it! And yeah, the internet be like that. Haha

(+1)

naaa, I removed the submission, I would submit it right before the jam ends.

Submitted(+1)

But you gonna get the same 'hate' aftewards as well right?

Unfortunately this is part of it, and considering that it is a jam game, the quality is expected to be lower

Submitted (2 edits) (+1)

it鈥檚 okay, most people on itch are super nice, you probably just ran into a mean person by bad luck. Don鈥檛 get discouraged! Delete/report/ban them if needed, it鈥檚 your game after all and you have the control ;)
