Pretty good game! This is definitely a good foundation for a whole survival type game! I love the aesthetic and just the vibes overall! Great work!
I survived for 8 days. I froze to death! Haha.
Cool idea! The art and music really make you feel isolated and immersed. I do wish there were some more drastic results from the choices, but maybe that's something to build on. Overall really good execution!
You've died of dysentery! Good game, especially art and atmosphere!
Cool game! I'm not dure how it works in unity but in Godot I'd recommend turning the sprites inherit to "nearest" because the blurry trees kind of took some the the pixel art vibe. overall a good game!
would you like to try my game?
Cool thanks, yeah I guess it could have also been I scaled them too, something I need to improve upon as it's suprisingly complicated to get clear 2d pixel art.
Will play + feedback your game now :)
I basically did nothing but eat poisonous berries and suck.
Very moody and atmospheric. The sway in the background sprites and music were a great touch. Solid entry!
Yep, that's off-grid living!
Thanks!
Cool concept having stat trading too! haha This could be a good interactive narrative game if it gets developed further. One feedback though is that I personally think the walking animation is too slow given the fact that the character needs to go from one side to the other. But overall, great entry for the jam! :)
Yeah aha similar-ish ideas!
Yep definitely agree on walk speed, could make the camp walk 2-3x faster -- ended up overthinking the gameview and cameras so ran out of time.
Thanks!
Really like the idea and it really brought back the old school Oregon Trail feeling some times. A little bit of variety in things you can choose to do each day would be really cool for something like this, and possibly even some companions to find and keep around camp. I really like the idea and vibe, great job for the time frame!
Nice, yeah its definitely pretty similar to oregon trail kind of imagine it to be 100-200 years ago timeframe
Yes was thinking it would have 2 characters in the camp at once and they could have some random interactions and tailored events to them.
Thanks for the feedback!
I like the art style. The metrics at the top didn't really mean a lot to me during gameplay, but I like how the choices had different responses each time. I could see this being really interesting with multiple characters doing different tasks. Good job!
Thanks :)
Yeah the metrics go down every day and do increase/decrease depending on the actions presented but its probably too vague and needs a bit more feedback
