The best typing game ever made somehow was made in 3 hours!

I believe it should go multilingual and be distributed at schools.

Developer

Haha! I appreciate your kind words :)

Cool thing to make a game out of an actual thing people do. The gameplay is fun, good job!

Developer

Many thanks! I honestly kind of stumbled upon the text-to-drive mechanic just because I wanted to make a typing game xd

Nice implementation and gameplay. Not sure the traffic lights stopped me from doing anything but it was a cool concept and I liked playing it.

Developer(+1)

Hopefully the traffic lights provided with some cars crossing :P Thanks for your kind words

This is such a sick idea - I did a little recording of my gameplay if it helps to see someone play: Text and Drive by Winnie | Cap Recording

I immediately entered flow state playing this game, the creative typing prompts were also very entertaining. Excellent submission!

Developer

This is the first time I've had someone make a let's play video of my game LOL! Thank you, it means a lot coming from you because I'm a big fan of your trijam entries :)

That is why you don’t TEXT and DRIVE. Haha. Good little game to play while “not” driving. Yeah good game.

Developer

Thank you thank you :)

Very interesting and unique idea! I was to focused on texting that I didint even notice that there are other cars xD. Adding some audio would really make this nicer to play :) Overall very good! GGs Ps. Got a highscore of 56

Developer

Yes, it would've probably been a good idea to add some sounds when cars drive by and maybe some honk sounds if you are close to crashing. Thanks for your feedback!

 Got a score of 77!

Very cool! I don't know if it fits the theme completely but It's a great idea on it's own!

Developer(+1)

Great work! I hope at least the game taught you important traffic safety

Never text when driving (๑•̀ᗝ•́) ! I felt conflicted typing messages while driving at the same time, and then I crashed the car, so I guess it was educational :D The texting sound was super satisfying.

Developer(+1)

Yep lol, I wanted to emulate the classic iPhone typing sounds. Was pretty happy with how it turned out. Thanks for playing!

Where did that car crossing the road come from?!? - My honest reaction upon crashing. They should play this at drivers-ed to make sure people don't text and drive!. Fun game, well done!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you got the experience I was looking for :)

I shall never text while driving, and this game convinced me even more XP Clever mini game, I enjoyed playing it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And stay safe on the road o7

Got a score of 146! Interesting concept, ngl the lack of ' kinda tripped me up. I assume the "map" is random, but I had a long stretch with no traffic lights that made it a bit boring, so maybe more variety in road effects could be an interesting improvement. Definitely well made for 3 hours though.

Thanks a lot and well played :D Yeah, I did actually include more symbols initially. Sadly the input for special characters got broken in the web build so I had to remove them, but I understand that it made the typing more difficult.
