Nice game feel, fun to play overall. That bgm was addictive and felt very retro!

A very cool game but that Goblin stole my bullets. I NEED THOSE BACK!

Very cool and fun game. The only thing, I noticed that the browser version doesn't scale well (hiding parts of the game, including the hearts) if you have a less than 100% zoom rate, at least in firefox under windows

So good! Great job! Would have like to be able to hold down the mouse though but other than that it was great!

I really enjoyed the game, it's super fun!  If I had one small suggestion, it would be to extend the melee attack range just a little bit — but honestly, it's a blast to play. Great job!

  • Art style is great, really good pixel art
  • Good in-game tutorials
  • The coins as bullets idea is neat. The blobs reflecting them back at you adds an interesting wrinkle
  • Multiple enemy types!
  • Restarting back at the beginning is a bit rough

Cool game, good work!

Lots of fun! I didn't know there was a dodgeroll until the final boss XD I loved the mechanics of shooting your own coins!

Submitted(+1)

I loved the coins as bullet mechanic and having the tutorial right at the start is perfect. Was really fun and with more coins seeing them fly back (dont judge my aiming lol) felt really nice and smooth. Good job!

Submitted(+1)

I like the "tutorial" could be improved though. I like the moveset, melee and gunplay. Cool that I shoot my goldcoins. cool that the goblins try to steal the coins. nice variety of enemys and enemy abilitys. Final boss was very good, and fitting the theme, finally an enemy where i needed my dodgeroll. I enjoyed the gameplay, and different levels. I also think the balance is really good, managed to play through without dying once, but still hat some challanges here and there.

Some room for improvement:
Would have loved to get at least an Audio-Setting to reduce the music volume a bit. Give me few more music tracks, the one looping all the time gets a bit repetitive. (Finally endboss music was very good)
Melee attack needs a slash sound.

Visually it is fine but there are some Y-Sort/ordering issues with player and some of the environment, and i think the stairs too. should be easily fixable -> set main node 2d to Y-Sort active, and in your objects have the sprite at the right position. Missing knockback, gun and melee attack should have some knockback and pushing the enemys away. Maybe add an enemy which is a bit faster than the player, idk a bat or something, where you need to roll away from and push it back via melee attack.

Very cool game! well done!

Hey there! I didn't participate in the jam or anything but im a new game dev that started with pygame and is getting into godot .

i really loved your game's style and gameplay and polish , well done ! I was wondering if you have any godot advice for a newbie like me . Good luck on the jam!

The animation is insane tbh to do this in 9 days project you absolutely cooked

Coin bullet idea is cool and i like another action like entry as they are always fun. Had a bit of an issue with aiming when not fullscreen but it worked fine after

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea of limited bullets. I died on level 5 cause I run out of bullets and didn't do well in melee haha. Adding in volume slider would be nice. Impressive that you've made it by yourself.

As others have said, coins as bullets is a great idea! This game was super intuitive and really fun to play. Love the art style and it's just juice galore! Also had a bit of trouble getting used to the melee but it could just be a skill issue on my part tbh. Fun submission!

art is lovely, i love the bullet system. very great and addicting game

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea that coins are bullets and you have to be careful where they end up (not falling into bits, getting stolen by goblins, etc.) The art and animations were just fantastic also, really well done. Shooting felt really good too. My only gripe was that I could not figure out the melee. I just couldn’t get a good feel for whether something was in range or whether my cooldown was ready to swing again. I think some knockback when I hit an enemy would also be really helpful. Even with those gripes I loved this, really hope you keep working on this because I would play the hell out of a post-jam version.

I like coins as bullets and collecting them.

Fun game, reminded me of Enter the gungeon + soul knight. Really fun!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the game, gives me enter the gungeon vibes :P. Using currency as ammo was a great idea! I think the melee attack should have a larger hitbox and a lower cooldown tho
