How does your game fit the Theme & Boss Battle Edition?
In One More Shot, you play as a bartender on a fine night. But every customer you serve throughout the night gets crazier and crazier and represents a different stage of losing control. And the final customer you encounter, is revealed to be yourself. All this time, the customers you've been serving turns out to be versions of yourself. And till now, you've had 6 shots. The customer(yourself) demands one last shot. The boss isn't a monster or a villain, it's your own reflection, refusing to stop. The boss battle is a war against your own addiction. You are the boss, the final customer.

Anything else you'd like to share about your game or development process?
The game development process was very fun. Staring 5 hours a day at my PC trying to set up the retro shader packs to make my game that PSX feel was quite a hastle though. Every system, bartending mechanics, NPC AI, dialogue, interactive objects and the final boss fight were built during the 10 day period. Though the time limit was challenging, it also made me realize how much I could accomplish in a week.

Nice psx style game!
I have little to say about it, the art and effects are very solid, and the experience is pleasant, maybe the camera moves a bit too much when walking (made me feel a bit dizy). other than that, I understand what you were going for, props to you for trying to do something different with these very tedious limitations.
Overall Very nice and polished game, good job! 👍👍

Visual feel and theme were really cool! Loved the bar decorations. Good job on the PSX feel.

The location, characters, dialogues and everything is really impressive for a ten days game jam! It almost felt like a full game. Good job!

Congrats buddy,

I loved the choice of the PSX graphics, it really make the game feel nostalgic.

My feedback here is:

Take care of the camera, it's were players look into your game, the camera shake is a cool feature, but I feel that is more than the needed.

Also if you can match the NPC animation to have a better pace, it would be 100%

Congrats on your submission

Love the visual and general aesthetics, very well done.  Liked this unique interpretation of the theme. The camera movement felt a bit too much, was quite hard to play for me. I fell through the map after standing from the toilet unfortunately, so had to replay everything all over again. I would also suggest making the scene a bit brighter, i barely saw where i was going in the toilet.

So,.. I understand the social critique, and i think it's a smart way to analyze the problem. Through the video i also saw the ending and it's a good plot twisting. The art and sound effects are like those good old games.

I can suggest to check the move and tilting of the camera. As an effect of intoxication, i think it should start "normally" and increase over time, right now it's like playing a seasickness simulator.

So a couple of things. #1 I love the dithering style that you used for your game. #2 there are some things you can improve on that would immediately make this game 10x better than it already is.

Lets start positive. Your game is fantastic. The story, the visuals, the gameplay (Even as simple as it is). Fantastic!
I'm glad I wasn't the only person to make a 3D game, and I wanted to use the dithering effect in my game as well as I think it makes the game look 10x better.

Some things you can improve on are to do with the lighting and the animation.
Lighting: The scene is too dark, I had to stop playing around the bathroom part because I genuinely couldn't see anything at all. This is a simple fix to either just add more lights, or up the gamma a little bit to where the player can at least slightly see in the dark.

Animation: The camera movement is great, but I'm confused about why the default camera state is slightly tilted to the right? Another simple fix but it can genuinely change how good your game feels to play immediately.

Very cool project for the limited time we have though. Very well done

Very original game! I really like the aesthetic and the models. The camera movement is a bit dizzying, but everything else is great. Great work!

It an great game. i love the visual of it so much the goal of the game is clear cause of the outline the atmosphere is well made but it was not an boss fight so i couldn't give an point on that unfortunately.

But it was an amazing game keep it up!

Developer

Thank you so much for the appreciation! Actually there is a boss fight at the end with the final customer. Make sure you have completed serving all customers. You can watch the attached video for a guide.

This is a great game. So first of all the game has some amazing visuals and animations. I love the PSX aesthetic that you went for. The objectives are pretty clear because of the green outline so that's a great addition. The overall ambience and atmosphere is also well done because of some great SFX and ambient music.
Here are some points of improvements I had:
- The camera movement I felt was way too much. My head was kind of paining sometimes because of how much the camera bobbed. Decreasing that would definitely enhance the experience of the game.
-The performance on browser is really bad on full screen. I don't know if it's just me however. It runs perfectly fine when it's not full screen though.
- I actually fell out of the map when I left the bathroom😅. So that might be a bug. And speaking of the bathroom, I think having some lights there might be better because I found it very hard to see there.

Overall it's a great game jam entry and it's amazing the work you did in such a short amount of time. So good job! :D

Thanks so much for the support! The bathroom bug might be a collider issue but I'll make sure to patch that. Not sure why it's running bad on fullscreen though.
