Incredibly polished game! I had a fun time finishing up to 20 waves, the music and bubbly graphics gave the game such a pleasant vibe. Highly recommended for those who enjoy scrabble or other word-type games :D

Developer

So happy you enjoyed and you finished the 20 waves. Thank you for playing

I ended up playing this for an hour and I'm pretty sure my bother would love this game. Honestly add more content and this could be a full release. It could even be turned into an rpg with a very unique fighting mechanic

Developer(+1)

Hopefully you can send it to them and see if they like it. I will be adding a lot more content to the game. Thank you for playing :)

I liked it, it was quite hard, but i was able to complete it. Really well rounded game.

Great game well done!

Very cute game. I love the art and the concept of attacking with words. Very clever design to calculate the points of the words as damage. And the upgrades after each run. the game looks very balanced. I am not good with words because English is not my native language but I loved how you enable and disable the attack button based of the dictionary. This helps a lot. Also the music makes it so cozy. I could play this for hours. Just for the feedback if you would ask me what I would add in the game, if there was hints for the words or the enemies would drop gold that you could buy various perks like letter swap , word hint, double points etc. Just a few ideas. But I loved it as it is anyway. Congrats for your excellent job!!!

Developer

I was thinking about some kind of gold drops that's a really interesting idea to have some kind of shop in the future. Thanks for your input I will definitely write this feature down and explore it. Thanks for playing!

This is a really fun game, I love scrabble and I love fantasy rpgs and this is such an innovative way.

Everything in this game works so well together — the visuals, the music, the mechanics, the overall concept — I really enjoyed it. It was a genuinely satisfying experience. Great job!

Amazing game. It’s really nice to see a game like Bookworm Adventures again. And adding upgrades after each match helps the game feel more enjoyable. Not sure if you tried this, but it could be more interesting if the letter randomize after each battle. Maybe that could help players create more words. But this alone is great. Well done!

Developer

Love seeing people who also played Bookworm Adventures. That idea would be interesting I'll keep that in mind! There's definitely a lot of different possible ways to have board interactivity so I'll maybe explore different modes

My favourite game of the jam so far. I could literally play this game for hours. Amazing work! The execution is so polished and I think the game would work really well as a mobile game. Congrats on the submission!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the kind words, I'll definitely release for mobile

I like the cartoon aesthetic.

Pretty good game. I like the idea of combining wordly with rpg elements. The designs are pretty cute and quite polished. I had quite a lot of fun playing this.

Developer

Thanks for playing glad you had fun :)

Check out my game too :)

Polish was amazing and the game was really fun overall. I easily spent the most time playing this one out of any game so far.

Two minor bugs or nits: sometimes tooltips would go off screen when they were closer to the right side, and it could be a bit hard to click certain characters, especially slot 3 when there were four of them.

Truly great job!

Developer

Wow thanks for taking the time to play my game. Definitely aware of the bugs but I was struggling with the screen space. I’ll have to adjust ratios and fix the tooltip. Thank you!

Very cool puzzle game. I liked the rouglike upgrades.

Submitted

Very polished and lots of fun. I'm sure I'll be back to play a few times.

Good implementation. Not sure I like the skewed grid vs a more squared one. Maybe a bit more polish and is ready for mobile freemium

Developer

Skewed vs Square vs Connecting vs Choose any tile were all major decisions I was thinking about. Maybe for full release I might have different modes? Not sure yet but I’ll keep your preference in mind. Thank you for playing

I love the aesthetics, everything comes together really well! It’s super satisfying to play, and the core mechanics already feel really solid. I’d love to see this expanded further!

Developer(+1)

I will 100% keep working on it and post devlogs so keep an eye out :) Thank you for playing
