This is a fun game. Really had awesome experience playing this. Kudos to your efforts.
Thank you so much! π
I'm really happy you had fun with it. Thanks for playing and for the kind words π
this was a very cool game to play - I had fun. Great work.
Thank you so much! π
I'm really glad you had fun playing it. Thanks for taking the time to try it and leave feedback π
First of all, the presentation is fantastic. The page is very well organized, easy to follow, and the comic-style introduction immediately caught my attention. It does a great job setting the tone for the world before the game even begins.
I also really liked the atmosphere. The setting feels bleak and tense in a good way, and the idea of being the connection between isolated survivors is a clever interpretation of the jam theme.
The combination of exploration, resource management, and discovering information little by little kept me interested throughout the experience. It feels like a concept that could easily grow into a much larger game.
Overall, this is a very ambitious and memorable submission. Great job!
Thank you so much! π
The comic intro was actually inspired by something I saw in a YouTube video. I thought it would work great as a quick way to introduce the story, and AI is surprisingly good at comic-style images. Asset consistency... not so much, as you probably noticed π
I'm also really happy you noticed how the game fits the theme. For me, "Connections" wasn't just about connecting locations, but also connecting people and piecing together information in your own head.
Of course, it's still a jam game, so there are plenty of rough edges and things I would improve with more time.
And thanks again! I'm already working on a full game with a somewhat similar atmosphere, but on a much bigger scale. So feel free to follow me here on itch.io — I'll be posting a demo in the future. With the help of AI, hopefully we're talking weeks rather than months or years π
Thank you!
I actually think your interpretation of the theme is one of the strongest parts of the project. I completely agree that "Connections" can go far beyond simply linking places together. Connecting people, information, and discoveries throughout the journey makes the whole experience feel much more meaningful.
I'm also really glad to hear you're continuing to work on projects with a similar atmosphere. I genuinely enjoyed what you've created here, and I'm already following you on itch.io to keep up with future updates and demos.
Wishing you the best with development, and I hope to play your project when it's ready!
Nice visuals. I lost a lot while stepping out, so I gave up after a while. It is a good idea, just needs adjusting and balancing.
Thanks for playing! π
Yeah, sleeping in a safehouse is actually 100% safe. The camp outside mechanic is meant to be a risky last resort and always comes with consequences.
There are quite a lot of actions available each day, but I agree that the balance could definitely use more work. Unfortunately, I ran out of time before I could do as much balancing and testing as I wanted π
Pretty cool ai project. I thought it would be a bit odd, where two people ask for batteries, but one can provide a cure, the other does not. Is loot random? I had only one pack of batteries on the first run. With this knowledge I could complete the second one. Nice one :)
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! π
Yes, the loot is partly random. Street scavenging can randomly give batteries, but there is also a fixed battery reward in one of the ruins.
Actually, finding batteries in the ruins was originally added for testing purposes, and I forgot to change it before submission π . That's why it's possible to finish the game much faster if you know where they are.
The loot in the ruins is fixed, while the loot from searching regular streets is random.
Thanks again for giving it a try! π
This game looks pretty ok, but it is a little sad that almost all of that was AI generated. I didn't manage to get the connection going, but I do appreciate the effort. Basically got robbed a few times and that makes it impossible to actually win the game. Finding it hard to rate this one. Still thanks for allowing me to play it.
Will send the exact timestamp of the stream later.
Thanks for playing!
I think the biggest issue was that I didn't explain the medicine quest clearly enough. While watching the stream I noticed you mostly used the regular talk option and never really asked people about the medicine. The idea was that NPCs are busy with their own problems, so they won't bring up Rare Medicine on their own — the player has to start that conversation.
Looking back, I think "Ask About Medicine" was probably poor wording on my part. It sounds like an optional question, while it was actually the main way to progress the cure quest. Something like "Talk About Your Illness" would probably have been much clearer. A small tutorial would have helped too π
As for the robberies, sleeping outside is always dangerous, but getting robbed while scavenging is only a random risk event.
Wow, that's impressive for a jam, really good work
Wow, very atmospheric! A really impressive example of what 1 person can do with AI in a game jam.
Well done really cool game!
Thank you so much! π Really glad you enjoyed it π
so polished and well done!! really enjoyed my play through even though i did not win haha, gonna come back to play again soon.
Thank you so much! π
Honestly, hearing that you want to come back and try again after losing makes me really happy π
A very professional finish, I was very surprised, good job!
Thank you so much! π
I tried really hard to make it feel like a complete small game instead of just a prototype, so Iβm happy that came across π
Very Polished, excellent voice acting, Decent story that ties into the theme and gameplay, very well done.
Thank you so much!
Really appreciate you playing and taking the time to leave feedback π
This was really polished. The player motivation was clear and interesting. I ended up playing for longer than I expected to. Really good job on this.
Thank you so much! π Really happy you kept playing longer than expected — thatβs probably the best compliment for a jam game π
Damn, they robbed me and then they robbed me but they also robbed me. I died but I roamed around a bit first.
Hahaha π Yeah, the camp outside / robbery events can spiral pretty hard if luck turns against you.
But honestly I kind of like that desperate feeling of barely surviving, wandering around the ruins with almost nothing left π
Thanks for playing!
No way, did I roll unlucky? I though it was just a night time thing with the robbers.
Yeah π If you sleep outside on the streets at night, the robbery event is guaranteed right now.
But during normal street scavenging thereβs only a smaller random chance of getting robbed or losing items.
Nice game. The presentation is very good, specially when it comes to history. I could not find the medicine unfortunately XD. I would have wanted another way to gather resources (repeatedly). Regarding the mechanics it is not pretty evident how the dialogs work but once you press <E> you understand everything. The graphics look good specially the intro but there is still something that was not 100% integrated, at least in the grid (I am not sure if it is the fact that it is AI).
Thank you! π Yeah, I actually had the same feeling that the game really needed a better tutorial or onboarding, but near the end of the jam I simply ran out of time and ideas on how to add it cleanly.
And those UI elements that donβt fully work/interact were kind of part of a bigger idea originally, but the main goal became just finishing and polishing the game before the deadline π
> but near the end of the jam I simply ran out of time
I know that perfectly XD. It was a well executed and you could deliver the game on time.
I love this kind of games, history, clues, information, it remind me the old textual games in Commodore 64.
Thank you! π Yeah, I also like games where you slowly discover information and connect clues together. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Dev.
This game has a well designed look and feel. It took me a couple of tries, to complete, and it seems you can get some of the more important items you need without trades?
Thank you for the game!
Yeah, thatβs actually possible π
You can get lucky and find batteries on the streets even on Day 1, so risky scavenging can sometimes skip part of the trade chain. In a bigger/full version Iβd probably require 2β3 batteries for the Nurse, so it wouldnβt be quite that easy and players would need to rely more on the connections and production chain.
But I also liked the idea of letting players risk exploring the ruins and potentially finding something valuable early.
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! π
Nice idea and good execution.
I think, there are a few problems with usability (pressing E to talk with people isn't shown as option, not being able to throw away stuff from the inventory, etc), but I still got the cure in my second try. I don't know if the loot is random, but I had the rare medicine ready in 2 days with only talking to 3 people, half of the map still covered in fog. So it kinda went against the theme of connection because nobody connected :D
But I think the idea has potential and it was fun to play :)
Thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback! π
The action controls are actually listed on the left side of the screen, including using E for interactions, but yeah — the UI/readability could definitely be improved more.
And if you got the Rare Medicine by Day 2, that means you must have found batteries early and delivered them to Nurse Irena, which is possible through risky street scavenging. In the jam version I allowed lucky runs like that, even if they partially skip the longer production chain.
Also, the βConnectionsβ theme in my game was meant more as connecting people, information, trust, logistics, and routes between isolated survivors — not literally physically connecting the whole map. The player is basically the only safe link between quarantined people because the suit allows others to interact with you without risking infection. You carry resources, information, and hope between people who are too afraid to leave their shelters.
Thatβs also why the ending explains the idea more directly, so I think maybe you didnβt fully finish the game after getting the cure π
Still, Iβm really glad you had fun with it, and I appreciate the feedback a lot π
nice game, is it still doable after being robbed?
is the voice spoken text fully AI?
Yeah, itβs still possible after being robbed π You can still find important items through risky street scavenging, but it becomes much more dangerous and less reliable, so losing items can really slow the run down.
And yes — all the spoken dialogue was made with free AI voices from ElevenLabs π
nice, then ihave to try again :-)
Nice game, impressed to see so many systems and features in such a short time. I could see my self spending 20 or so hours in games similar in concept and feel to this one.
Thank you so much! π Honestly, this jam was also kind of an experiment for me.
Iβm currently working on an app in VS Code using Codex / GPT-5.5 workflows, and I took a week off from the app because I wanted a fresh perspective after working on it for so long. I also wanted to test how well GPT could handle making a game without direct access to the engine itself — but with access to the whole game folder and project structure.
And honestly… as you can see, it handled it surprisingly well π
Before this test I felt like app development speed with these systems was still kind of slow, but after making this game I realized the pace is actually much better than I thought. So the jam ended up being both a game project and a really valuable experiment for me.
Really appreciate you playing and the kind words π
