Surprisingly challenging little game! There was a fun little combat dance with each encounter. Great job!

Fun little game! I cleared out the dungeon but it seemed like my only reward was a free sword every time I passed by the wizard, which, if you think about it, is a pretty sweet reward! Glad to see an action rpg like this in the jam, I had fun with it. A little tricky to start with, but once you get the hang of it, the baddies don't stand a chance.
Super simple, super fun, no problems here. Definitely good for the jam, but man do I wish this had more, especially in the overworld. I spent a good amount of time just walking around to see if there was anything out there haha. Great job! You should keep iterating on this game.
Nice little RPG, steep learing curve for the timing of attacks but enjoyable
Fun looking RPG with good pixel art! I am just not sure how to play it properly, I kept getting hit without being able to parry so I died pretty fast, ran out of potions after 1 use, but I would love to see this game at a later stage if you want to develop it further :D
Well done on creating this. there are a few issues like hit boxes and speed, you essentially have to juggle the enemies, Money creation is hard at the beginning so I needed to abuse these (arrow, sword from wizard) but even then the game was quite difficult. I had hoped that I could have multiple creatures but alas not currently, Keep it up, what I played was fun!
Nice job implementing this on your own! Although the gameplay is pretty barebones, it has all the basic components to expand into all sorts of interesting gameplay systems. You can go in classic Zelda style, diablo style, or even something closer to a souls-like. I hope you scale it into something awesome!
You should continue expanding this game, theres issues like others have mentioned but that doesn't mean its bad. Great use of asssets just sword needs a tiny bit more range i feel
So ill start with the things that need to be adjusted. 1st thing is the infinite money glitch, i can go in and out of the dungeon collecting arrows from the begining, then go back each time and collect a sword from the old man and sell them. when i bought pet, the crab one, i thought i was gona face roll the dungeon, but turns out the crabs attacks are not so good and the enemys walked right through the pet. also speaking of enemys they moved too fast, for as acurate as they were. they have a way to far of a reach on their swords i could barely get any hits in without kiting long distances. the bow and arrow guys are almost non killable unless you have like 3 potions. so the map should be blocked off from exploring, i walked away from camp to look for hidden stuff and i walked off the ground texture into nothingness :D. that should be blocked from doing if there is nothing to explore out there. the game is interesting, and i have also used these kenny assets before, they are great!
Ok, the game is really enjoyable! Two things I’d suggest if you ever continue developing this interesting project: first, maybe adjust the enemy archers — they felt as strong as a dungeon boss :D Second, instead of the blue bottles that didn’t appear in the inventory, it could’ve been coins so I could earn gold and test other weapons. Overall, it’s a good game, and I’d definitely play it if it had quests, more dungeons, a leveling system, etc. Keep it up!
The game itself is a neat and cool little RPG Game, the fighting and the other systems work fine. Me as a lil gamer tho noticed that if u enter the dungeon and leave it the wizard seems to have lost its mind and does give u andother sword same as for the arrow spawning in the dungeon which leads to infinite money if wanted.
Other than that I really like the game you can be proud of what u achieved especially since u did it alone.
Cool RPG game base! Like you mentioned in the “About” section, I couldn’t really find the connection to the jam theme, but it’s still a cool game with a lot of well made mechanics. Good job!
One thing that came to mind while testing is that the world feels a bit empty at times. Adding small critters, enemies, trees, or bushes could make it feel much more alive.
Neatly looking first project for a new engine, however there is still much to be worked on. The shield should come at the start as there is not many mechanics in regards to combat. There should more enemy variety and they should not have identical range as the player, because engagment with such enemies is not really fun if you need to hit almost a perfect input. Nevertheless, the game has potential as a entry level CV entry after some more work, and not using AI is commendable!
