'm Trevor Njama, the solo developer behind Z WAR and SoftShadow Studios.

Today is a special day for me because Z WAR is the first game I've released publicly. This project started as an idea and slowly grew into a complete game through many hours of learning, testing, and development.

While Z WAR may not be perfect, it represents the beginning of my journey as a game developer. Every feature, mechanic, and challenge taught me something new.

I would love to hear your feedback, suggestions, and experiences playing the game. Your support will help improve Z WAR and contribute to future projects from SoftShadow Studios.

Thank you for taking the time to play my game and be part of this journey.

See you on the battlefield!

I would like a better page with a custom theme and most importantly, screenshots. The description is nice, but without screenshots, I am not willing to download the game...

I would suggest to add screenshots and add a web build if you can.

appreciate will do the changes

What can I honestly say about the game:

Among the project's downsides:

- The technical part feels rather crude. I'm referring to the player controls. Movement is very slow, and it feels less like a "game feature" and more like a flaw. It's like you're walking through a swamp.
- There are no tracer shots from the weapons. The shots are not synchronized with the sounds. There's no way to tell whether I've hit the enemy or not. The weapon in the center of the screen looks strange and unusual.
- Zombie Nazis are a rather old and well-worn theme. It's unclear who the player is, what they're fighting for, how they ended up in this location, etc.

If you fixed all these flaws, this would probably be the basis for an interesting and playable project with potential for development.

Among the pros:

- I liked the atmosphere and the soundtrack
- I liked the devastation all around
- I liked the enemy death animations

Thank you for taking the time to play Zwar and for sharing such detailed feedback. I really appreciate it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere, soundtrack, environmental destruction, and enemy death animations. Those are areas I've put a lot of effort into, so it's encouraging to hear they stood out.

I also appreciate your criticism regarding the movement, weapon feedback, and lack of story context. These are all valid points, and I'll be working on improving them in future updates. Better player movement, clearer shooting feedback, and more background information about the character and setting are already high on my list of priorities.

As an indie developer, feedback like yours is extremely valuable because it helps me see the project from a player's perspective. Thanks again for giving Zwar a chance and for pointing out both its strengths and weaknesses.

I hope you'll check back on the project in the future as it continues to improve.
