Hi there! I'm still very new to the world of development but I was wondering if it's common practice to make dev logs for a game that you have not made yet. 

To elaborate, I'm working on a Game Jam project and I wanted to provide dev logs throughout that process. But I also don't want to publish an incredibly fragmented game, since it wouldn't be anywhere close to done when I make the logs. Is it possible to create the project without uploading the game, make my dev logs as needed, then add the game in at the conclusion of the jam?

Yes, you can, but keep in mind that your game page won’t be indexed until it has playable files uploaded.
