OH SHIIII!! NOICE! I love the theme interpretation. Very fun to play.
This game made me laugh sm I love it!! I love the vibe of it, too, feels super old school which I like. I think it could all run a tad smoother but the fact you made everything just for the jam is so wicked!
Alright, score to beat folks
A really fun game. All from audio to small feedback like 'NOICE' rewards you. I really liked that rear view mirror🔥
thanks! Appreciate the feedback! the mirrors are done using a dual camera setup and a render texture with the scale inverted on the quad's displaying it - each is individually masked in the shader by a black and white mask of the shape of the mirror. Not the most performant, but if it ain't broke!
When I see the phrase "LOOK OUT", I always remember someone's saying "PHILZA LOOK OUT"
Btw the game is very funny xD
this is how i feel driving home from work
I really like that you designed the assets specifically for this game jam; to me, that gives the project a very special meaning. Additionally, even though the gameplay feels fast-paced, the controls are responsive and the car never feels clunky or difficult to handle. I also enjoyed the detail of the flips when taking jumps and ramps lol
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that feedback. I'm really happy with the sense of speed, because the whole thing is done using forced perspective, and the actual colliders are quite slow moving!

Hopefully the screen shot shows what's going on a bit -- the "ground" is just 2 spheres with a shader tied to the car's 'velocity,' that scrolls the texture like a treadmill.
Then i use a vanishing point only about ten units from the player in either direction, and have objects scale themselves as move from one vanishing point to the other to give the illusion of much faster movement.
A very interesting way to interpret the theme. An entertaining racing game ,I was quite startled at first when I crashed straight into something and my car started spraying sparks.
Lmao "Oh shi" love it
Fun interpretation of the theme, and I really enjoy the art direction and sound design! I wish runs would last a bit longer though – I feel like I crash the car very quickly after restarting.
ha yeah, a little extra time to work on the difficulty ramping would have done a lot.
As is, it takes some practice to adjust to the handling and collision (especially from objects to the side of you) but i promise long runs are possible!
my high score is 73,000 :]
