As we’re all lost on what to do and how to proceed at first, you must introduce a tutorial! The rest don’t touch it, it’s perfect!
Very cute looking game, but I confess I'm a bit lost on what to do in the game haha. It just seems like random events and you're just randomly trying to catch people to see if you can collect a new Kelpy?
I like the little jumps and pop sounds, that was a nice touch.
Oh and I also really enjoy the picoCAD models too. I was looking for your entry since we talked briefly about it in the Discord server haha. Glad to see the art is all very well done.
hey i remember you! i was showing you my picocad fails XD The confusion is a common complaint we've been getting so i think for the next version of the game I gotta include a tutorial. The gameplay is you find seashells on the beach at the end of the day, sell them for money or trade them for a kelpy, and use the money to buy kelpy blind boxes, and repeat until you have them all! You can trade with like 2 people but that's very rare but id like to have a trading system in the future. Thank you for checking out our game!!
It's a super cute game, very polished! The art, audio, etc. are all great, and there wasn't any bugs as far as I'm aware. The randomized mechanics are well done as well. I was a little confused by the simple gameplay and it didn't really play into the limitation so it's not exactly the game for me, but that doesn't stop it from being a wonderful entry.
Glad you enjoyed it even if it wasn't for you! The gameplay in a nutshell (or seashell lol) is you find shells at the end of the day, you sell it to the shop under the wharf for money and you use the money to buy kelpy blind boxes. And the goal is to complete the collection since everyone on the beach is talking about them. But after you collect all of them everyone on the beach loses interest lolol. Thank you for playing!!
The art is insane, loved the portraits! I enjoyed the ambiance a lot, but sadly I didnt understand the game. It didnt look like I could trad, what was the point to going to places, how to gather shells (probably when talking to npc....? But that's a wild guess here) And didnt understood how/why time mattered. Something is sure though: The game is still really intriguing to me, and I'm curious in which direction you'll take it from there, for the mobile/steam release, as I think it has a lot of potential 🦾
Thank you!! We did plan on making a trading system but we ran out of time haha. All we had was the hint of one XD For the steam release we will be creating a proper trading system. You find shells at the end of the day and the time system was there so the players had a limited amount of actions they can do in one day. Thank you for playing and for the detailed feedback !
YEEEPIEEE
yayyyy!!
The presentation is very good. I got a bit bored with the mechanics of just clicking around randomly trying to figure out what to do. I'm not really the target audience for this type of game though. Well done!
Thank you for playing!
this is a great game. well polished and realxing esspecialy for a jam game. the only thing i can say is that it doesnt match the limiation. this was sekmek the lead programmer
Thank you for playing!! Did you get to the ending? The dialogue after you collect them all flips everything over and is supposed to make the player question everything!
This is really well done! I love the way time progresses as we interact with the scene, and everything from the art, to the UI, to the SFX is extremely polished.
I LOVE spending a billion sea shells on kelpies.
The art is amazing, I love the music (Very Stardew Esque). I admit I did get a bit confused how to proceed at some points. The NPCS are pretty charming too. ok.
Great job.
The visual effects and art are definitely there, pretty impressive that you got a clear style going on. For further polish, maybe try out a few pixel fonts? Great work
The sounds and UI are really good, but my favorite part is definitely the look of those little Kelpies!
I really enjoyed the environmental pixel art and ui textboxes they were really done nicely here. The time system was very cool as well so choosing where to go had mattered for sure. Good implementation of the game design within the time constraints!
