Thank you! I actually never played any of the Wario Lands, but I'll have to check them out! I'm glad to hear that you could tell the enemy types apart - it was one of the things I was worried about since I decided to have them all be little red and black blobs, lol. Playing through it again with a little separation I agree that a lot of the rooms are a bit empty, I think I was trying to err on the side of too few things in rooms than too many and overshot it a bit.
You got the best ending, too. The other one triggers if you don't find all of the plushies
