Woah I'm glad you guys kept working on this! I'll check it out when I get a chance!

Aww shucks you're making me blush! Thanks so much for your comment! The boss fights were really something new for me, both having multiple boss fights, and how I thought about the Boss's patterns, so I'm glad to hear that you liked them!

I did kind of worry about it not being a "metrodvania" in the sense you mentioned, or the ingredient effects being too uninteresting. I had a second gun planned to tie that and the side effects together, but I had to cut it for time.

Thanks for playing, and leaving such detailed feedback! You say you complained a lot, but it's all good feedback, and I'd rather know what people dislike about the game than be in the dark on it :P.

I like the setting of the game, and I like that you went for a first person shooter! Moving platforms around was a very cool idea for an upgrade, and I don't think it's something I've seen before in a game like this. I also like the sky setting. I liked the enemies floating off and exploding, too - it was a nice bit of polish where you could have easily just put some explosion particles and called it a day.

I did wind up having some issues with the game unfortunately. I think the fist boss is a health sponge if you don't get all the upgrades before it, and I found that a lot of the upgrades were easy to miss. I also had trouble getting the crane mechanic to work consistently. I restarted a few times thinking I had soft locked myself on the platform before I could get the prompt to attach to the cranes to appear. After that I enjoyed the crane mechanic, but thought it was a little underutilized. I reckon there's a bit more puzzle juice to be squeezed from them there cranes, and I want to drink it up.

The beginning was definitely the roughest part for me, and I enjoyed the mid game much more. Collecting new guns was fun, and there's really something to seeing a chest on a platform and trying to work your way over there. The game has enough variety in pickups that chests retain some mystery, too, and that really emphasizes the previous point.

I was impressed by the amount of content you managed to get in the game within a month. In most of the jams I've participated in 3d games wind up very short by their nature, and this is a sizeable project. I'd be interested in a version with a bit more polish!

These slimes aren't the only ones eating good today! I've played two slime games this jam, and I've enjoyed two slime games this jam.

I'm going to be honest, I got some amount (I'm not sure how far) through and then accidentally closed my browser window. I think that marks the end of my time with this game for the moment, but I'll definitely return if there's an update with saving! I really liked the player movement, and thought the sound design and music choices really joined into something larger than the sum of it's parts. The game is fun to play in the most basic sense - I really like jumping around and grappling aimlessly, which is always a good sign.

Thank you for playing!

Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed my game! I totally missed that you could accidentally crush yourself there, thanks for pointing it out, haha. The pig plush is actually something you can get without any abilities!

I really like the atmosphere in this game! The music in particular lent a sense of mystery and exploration that emphasizes the story being told. The characters animations are all smooth, but never at the cost of responsiveness, which can be difficult.

I also like the concept of stealing enemies' powers, although I did find myself sticking to the double jump. That's kind of a shame, since I wound up not engaging with the main mechanic in the game as much as I would've liked. In part I think that's just because the base attack is so powerful I didn't need anything else.

The mechanics in this game are really cool and unique! I like that it's more puzzle focused, too. I think that really sets it apart from a lot of the other games in the jam. I really like the picks for sound effects, too. All of the clanking and whirring was very tactile. I thought all of the level design was very clean and well implemented. The game does a great job of tutorializing how everything works without throwing a bunch of text at the player. A lot of this game gave me portal vibes in the best way.

I like the art and concept, but It's kind of hard to say much more given the lack of gameplay. I hope you work on the game more though!

I love the mechanics, and how they tie into the theme and the story equally. Blasting around is super fun! The main character is very cute, as is all of the art in the game. It kind of reminds me of the 3ds version of Cave Story (in a positive way). The music is really great as well. I'm a sucker for Halloween vibes, and this game delivers! I did find myself getting lost a bit, but that's kind of to be expected for this jam, lol

This game is really beautiful, all of the animations are lovely and polished. I really like the music, too! I did feel like I was just kind of running around at a certain point, and it didn't seem like I was achieving anything, though. The game does feel great to play though, the jump feels great and the sound design really serves the game.

I can tell there's a lot here, and it's really impressive for 2 and a half weeks. All of the art looks great, and without context I would totally believe that this was a game from the late 80s/ early 90s that flew under the radar. Unfortunately I could only get the controls to work on my phone, where the screen was too small to really play comfortably.

Thank you! I actually never played any of the Wario Lands, but I'll have to check them out! I'm glad to hear that you could tell the enemy types apart - it was one of the things I was worried about since I decided to have them all be little red and black blobs, lol. Playing through it again with a little separation I agree that a lot of the rooms are a bit empty, I think I was trying to err on the side of too few things in rooms than too many and overshot it a bit.

You got the best ending, too. The other one triggers if you don't find all of the plushies

Neat game! I thought the movement felt really good, dashing and wall jumping were both really well integrated. The camera movement was a little much when the camera was zoomed in, but that can be tough to get right. My favorite parts were the boss battles, I loved the little potato guy!

Cool prototype! I liked the minimalistic art and thought the whale's animations were very fluid. sound design was really good, too and added a lot to the game feel. On that note it's hard to make movement that's slow feel good, but this did a great job on that front. The movement was never frustrating, but it did a lot to sell the size of the monster you're playing as. I'd love to see more from this, since I felt like the game was just getting started when it ended.

I like the art in this game, and the music is good too. To be totally honest I'm not in love with the jumping mechanic, but that's just a preference thing. I will say that the first time you have to jump up into a room I kept falling back into the room below because it wasn't clear to me that I had to jump up and to the left to land on the ledge. I would be interested in a version with a bit more polish!

<Insert footage of me waking up in a cold sweat, realizing that I did not effectively communicate that beds are save points>

Thank you for playing! I appreciate the feedback

Awesome game! I think I got to the end? I beat the Roc, but I never found the beam weapon from the screenshot, and there weren't any credits (that I saw), so I'm not sure.

It's still early in the rating period, but I suspect this will wind up being a contender for my favorite game this jam. Snod is super cute, both in the cutscene art and in his spritework. Same goes for all of the environment art. The sound design is super satisfying, both the sound effects and the music. I particularly love the plunky little song that plays in Snod's home. The controls are snappy and responsive, top tier work all around.

Short and sweet, I got all 5 flowers!

I really like the world design in this, all the art is cohesive and gives a sense of place that's alien, but believable. Really fun creature and plant designs.

I will say the jump was a bit floaty for my tastes, but I think that's my only complaint. I'd definitely be excited to see future updates!

Thank you!

Thank you for playing! The controller support was kind of last minute, haha. It should ignore mouse inputs until you move the mouse (at least I think it should ._. ) I'm glad you liked the puzzles, I had fun making them!

The concept is neat, and I like the main character's design - there's a lot of good animation on her in game sprite! It's a little hard to rate as-is but with some work this could be something really cool!

Thank you so much, your comment really made my day! I appreciate the feedback, and It's awesome to hear that you found everything!

I submitted before doing any sound work, because I thought I wouldn't have any time for it, but I did wind up doing a pass for audio polish.

Big news for slime-heads, I don't think you can call yourself a slime fan if you skip this. I thoroughly enjoyed this game! Great job on the movement, all of the abilities are fun and interesting, and they all feel great. I had a lot of fun playing around with switching ability in mid-air. I also like that the game gives you a triple jump off the bat, it emphasizes all of your different movement options.

The game could use a pass for polish. I noticed a few times where the camera limits didn't work or track my slime, and I couldn't always tell what were entrances to places until I was on top of them. Combat is also a little rough, I couldn't always tell when I was being hit vs when I was hitting other things.

None of that ever became unmanageable though. Watching your slime grow over the course of the game is super fun, too.  Great entry!

Cool game! I had a lot of fun with this one. The whip felt really satisfying, the sound you picked was on point, and I found myself just kind of standing around whipping, which is always a good sign. I like the robot's design and animation, too.

I think I wound up cheesing the first boss by getting behind it, I'm not sure if that was intentional. If I'm looking for complaints the starting movement speed was a little slow, but overall this was a good time!

Cool game! I liked the music, and the overall presentation. I thought the game did a good job of portraying a sort of off-kilter night time vibe. Even with relatively simple graphics and animation the game the atmosphere really comes across. I like leading goblins around and into fires to defeat them, and using them to destroy terrain, then disposing of them when you're done. It's a satisfying puzzle mechanic, and I think it could really have some cool depth with additional enemy types.

I couldn't figure out how to get past the brother (or even if there was a way to get past the brother) and a few times the camera got stuck looking at a room I wasn't in. That, plus the lack of checkpoints made it hard to continue, but I think you have the start of something really cool here!
