Aside from a few bugs, the game is adorable! I like the idea a lot, and the bosses and enemies like golem & crying crystal were cool to deal with. My only issue is the combat has a lot to do with timing (dodging things and waiting for your cooldown) and it meant I was standing around 80% of the time.

Developer

Thanks and sorry about bugs >_<

Once you get a feel for the dash cooldown, this is a really fun game!

Thanks!

I love the art! A fun game could come of this if you kept working on it :)

But i do something's cool)

art is super cute! definitely had some trouble with the dash feature, I agree another comment that said there should be a visual indicator of when  it is powering back up. Overall, cute idea!

Really cute game. I liked the minimalistic design of only needing one mechanic.

Criticism
- add a visual indicator that shows when the dash will be back up again. Since it's the only mechanic it should be clearly communicated when it's available. Also maybe some i-frames right after the dash because its hard to estimate the distance correctly and a bit frustrating when getting hit right after dashing
- I was actually stuck for a minute trying to figure out how to go through portals. I know its my bad for not reading the description but maybe add a little icon ingame for clarity
- I liked the red golem fight but I think it's a bit too hard. The damage you take is quite unforgiving and the boss is extremely tanky
- Minor bugs: The chest sprite doesn't despawn when going through a portal and the bullets during the blue golem phase don't hurt the player

Thank you for such a detailed review!

Quite solid base here! Got the golem boss down to half, perhaps if I had chosen different upgrades earlier would have been easier :)

Thank you for such a detailed review!Maybe i need to debuff him >_<

i actually really see the potential for this game! perhaps an improvement i could think of is to make the dash towards the cursor instead of following movement? or if you'd like to keep the dash movement, maybe make it so you can dash by clicking on the mouse instead. i think combining mouse and wasd could feel less "janky" than wasd and space if you get what i mean :] but i actually had some fun despite a few bugs. maybe you could consider simple visual feedbacks when hitting enemies as well (like white flash or a slight knockback) but considering the time constraints, i'd say you did really well! i hope you continue to work on it! it's really fun!

Thank you so much for such a detailed review!!! Unfortunately, I have temporarily suspended support for the game because I am already busy with another project :(
Unfortunately, the problem with this project is that if I want to do something, it breaks what I have already done >_< (for example, teleportation through the E key instead of just touching it)

Charming art, and this game has a really fun loop. Might I suggest some audio feedback for when the dash comes off of cooldown?  I ultimately was pretty bad at the game, kill issue on my part ultimately, but some hardcoded grace would go a long way in a game with such an aggro combat system (invincibility for a little bit after the dash, so you can reposition a little, or slight healing between levels, might go a long way).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Right now, I'm thinking about whether to continue developing the game or start a new one separately. I will periodically return to this project and keep it alive, so it's likely that a couple of updates will be released with new features)

the fresh project strategy is actually super rewarding. if that's your move -- go for it! I know you'll make cool projects

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that!!! Unfortunately, as much as I don't want anything better for this game, it will still be easier for me to create a new one than to shovel the old one ( I think I'll leave the project in its current state and start a new one with a larger goal. I hope for your understanding! I'm starting to make a new game that will be much more interesting than the old one!!!)

I look forward to seeing it!

Fun little game, maybe could do with some extra variation!

I enjoyed playing this! Couldn't quite beat the golem boss sadly

It's such a cute game and I definitely see the potential of it. I appreciate that the dev is actively working on fixing bugs. Big props for that!

I like where this game is going. Although, I wold like to see it lean more into the summer theme, and tie in the design limitation to the gameplay more.

Very cute and Very Cozy, One thing I will say is that when you get stuck in a corner when the enemies follow you, you cannot escape. But lovely none the less

Developer

Thanks and sorry about enimies >_<

Fun and great art! I noticed a bug though where you stick to the enemy mobs if you make contact with them.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I'm slowly but surely trying to fix every bug that's sent to me! Thank you so much for your help!!!
