Chill game. I like helping the other people. Wish there was a bit of stories that come with it after you help them out.
Could use some music, sounds are fun. I also like it that you can bounce the beach ball XD I wish there were some sort of ending when you got the final item.
The art are fine, but assets seem kinda mismatched. It would have also been nice if the dig minigame doesn’t appear abruptly but there’s a quick transition. Another QoL feature is the ability to fast forward the dialogue text or skip it.
I really wanted to have more than the two endings depending on if you helped everyone and left with your dream item as the "ultra good" ending or if you sold everyone's items as the "ultra bad" ending but time got away from me.
I'm also glad you discovered the beach ball, I left that as a little thing to discover rather than giving away that you could interact with it!
I've gotten the music and text speed feedback from others as well, but hadn't considered a transition to the dig mini-game, that's a really good suggestion! Thank you for all the feedback!
Great work mate! I feel like we hit similar beats and I really like where you went with it ^-^
Things I loved:
- Really great interpretation of the "lie" limitation (good ending gang lets gooo)
- The digging mechanic is fun, it's got a fishing game kinda flavour that works well and I enjoyed trying to work out what the item was as I was digging it up :)
- Great variety of items! The use of art was simple + effective
Things I'd love to see:
- Clicking to skip forward text would be a welcome addition I reckon
- I think a bespoke font could reinforce the flavour quite a bit!
- Maybe giving up on an item could be good, once I worked out what scrap metal looked like it woulda be nice to be able to give up on digging it up
Hey, we made pretty similar games thats funny. Really enjoyed the simple digging game this game has. love the visual style and the animated ocean waves! Sfx are satisfying. Music could be more. I really like the idea that we can run faster but with the drawback of being unable to use the metal detector. Good job and keep it up!
Yo what a nice cozy game, had a looot of fun digging and finding treasures on beach! GGs
This was really chill. I didn't want to stop digging up treasures and helping people with their metallic troubles. Nice art style too. Great work.
Great game! Would've loved some background music during the game even if it had to be at a lower volume so you could hear the metal detector, but it was still fun.
Beautiful little game. You have a ton of potential to explore it some more. I really loved it. Great job!
Summer Vibes {B - ) loads of fun!
Was the use of limitation (instructions are a lie) the good ending / bad ending because what we really wanted was the friends we made along the way? Or am I looking into it too much XD Great game either way I like the digging mini game, the power ups were useful, I liked that you could toggle your detector to run at the expense of your detection capability and that it has color as well as beeping for finding.
I got the GOOD ENDING :) and was delighted when I found that people on the beach were not only interactable but had quests. Good game well done :D
Thank you! Yes the idea behind the limitation is that you can just rush to get the thing you want most without helping the people on the beach, but that leads to a different end - I recommend trying that route out, and even selling all the possessions of the NPCs to see how the effects the game :) Thank you for playing and providing your feedback!
I did like it overall, but the shovel speed should be the one after the upgrade right away.
It's fun. I like that there's a color indicator for treasure, not just the metal detector beeping.
I wasn’t able to by “PEACE”, but enjoyed the game. The digging mechanic was greatly devised, I got a bit confused due to my habit of sometimes skipping instructions but got a hand of it.
Feels like a good mini game.
the juice of everything was pretty nice! i really loved how descriptive and random the contents of what i found was. the minigame kept things engaging too! i bought one billion doggies for 800 gold, pretty good deal c:
I really liked the item descriptions and I of course got the bad ending :) The spawning was also great, so there was always somewhere to walk towards.
