Dialogue is pretty funny. The art is simple but cute.
I think I have the same complaints like everyone else about the map, it's big for apparently no reason. I think it would also be helpful if the interactable elements look a bit different so we can notice them better.
The opening music is fun but I don't it loops so there was no music beyond the first cutscene for me. The sound designs are fun though.
I had a lot of fun with this game! The art is wonderful, both in the cutscenes and out in the world. Liked the dialogue, it is very funny. Great work! :)
First of all, amazing art. The tilemaps looks wondrous, the dinosaur sprites are amazing, and I can tell you've chosen the sfx carefully...
I love the cutscenes and the animations, wow, that's amazing for this little time... And the dialogue was pretty funny too...
That being said I got stuck after I talked to the dinosaurs and couldn't enter the house or do anything with the big t-rex... (Oh yeah he looks very scary btw)
So I roamed around for like 10 minutes trying to figure out the next step but I couldn't. So I'd appreciate any tips or hints on the next step!
Thank you so much for playing and I'm really happy to liked the art and animations!! (:
To progress you need to explore to the right side of the map and talk to the dinosaurs over there - if you have 3 successful encounters (it'll let you know if you succeed and they want to talk again when the encounter is finishing) then you get a music cue that tells you where Ken is and you can get to the ending scene!
The story is funny and chic made me laugh with his dryness. The audio ties in well with the atmosphere. I like the switch up to the different perspective and the concept of having to figure out what the dinosaur likes. I was a bit confused by it initially but got the hang of it eventually :)
I like your art style. Introductory dialogs are quite funny. It would be better if berries have some texture other it looks like a plant without fruits. Chic is really adorable.
I think the other comments have mentioned that the map is a bit big so it’s a bit hard to figure out where to go, might be better with some waypoint and pointer to guide the player to the next interesting part.
The story in the beginning was quite funny, as well as the dialogues. The art is pretty cute also. I quite like the “combat” system but maybe have some hover effects for the items would be neat (some tooltips of sorts)
this is awesome! i love the sound effects of the dinosaurs :) the map was a bit big so i got lost many times, but i think that's a me problem
Love a good dinosaur game! The sound effects on the voices were pretty funny and the music is pretty relaxing. The art is cute and simple but I got lost in this map very quickly.
Really cute! I liked the dialogue, especially the dino that was scared you'd drop the worm :D
nice game, birds and dino’s are related so i get the idea, was fun to play!
Very fun! I loved the music and the art style. I was a little bit confused on what to do for each encounter at first, but I managed to figure it out just fine. I thought I would be fighting the dinosaurs but I like how it subverted my expectations and I'm actually helping them get what they need. I just wish there were more closeups of the dinosaurs because I want to see more of Tine's art! It would be so fun if it showed characters alongside the dialogue boxes, like in classic jrpg's.
I think adding a sprint option is a good idea. I felt my interest waning a little bit as I backtracked through the rooms finding each dinosaur and their respective object. Overall, however, the game did not overstay its welcome and I thought it was a nice, charming experience!!! I know this game jam just ended and I wish you best of luck in winning!
