Loved your art style, especially the player character! I like how you chose to indicate the detection with the circle sound waves, really cool design choice! There were a couple of spots that could've been polished up a bit with some proper y-sorting to have the player correctly draw in front of other sprites, but that's the only real bit of feedback I have. Nice job!

I enjoyed the music a lot!

The treasure hunting mechanics was fine but it would have been just a bit better if there was also an indicator of the exact spot where you need to dig. For me the game started out pretty slow, and like a lot of top down adventure games in jams the map is a bit too big, doesn't have enough points of interest and the character seem very slow to start so it doesn't feel great to walk around. The lack of sound effects also contribute to the problem.

The in-game art is just ok but I quite like the cover art.

I was surprised by the amount of fun little NPC stories there were and how well they were written! I think a map and faster movement speed (or running shoes being a lot more cheaper) would've done wonders for the game. Still a great experience though! <3 Rico

Loved the little details like music changing when talking to the kids and so on. Took me a bit to get started but once I figured out the main loop it was smooth sailing from there. Really nice entry!

Took me forever to figure out how to dig, and the edges of the map could use some polish, but overall, good job on the game.

This game was fun but I had to quit playing after a few story beats because the lag and stutter almost made things unplayable. I loved the concept though!

Great game! The world and felt so expansive and I enjoyed the little stories behind each character. I only yearn for a sprint ability...I didn't even get the chance to buy it

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! We're so happy you enjoyed. The sprint is definitely a money-sink lol

I really enjoyed the story behind this one, but the metal finding mechanics were so frustrating I wasn't able to finish. Spoilers ahead: I found the ring but when I gave trash to the surfer she took it (made me rage quit). I will miss Rico <3

same thing happened to me lol but I was able to find it back in the sand

Sorry you ran into that! I hopped on and made a fix to patch that bug out for any future players. Thank you so much for reporting it.

Glad you loved Rico; I loved writing him! <3
