Nice VN. The arts are superb. The character names are also pretty funny too haha.
Feels like there was a bit of dialogue choices in the beginning but there wasn't much in the second half so perhaps you ran out of time? I got really suspicious at the end though. I was fully expecting you to double whammy us 😂
I think it would feel a bit more polished if there was a sound that plays every time you click next on the dialogue.
Also it feels somewhat disconnected to have 2 seemingly separate stories in the first half and the second half, since the first characters didn't reappear. But they're still cute though so it's all good.
Oh and I love eating crow sandwiches hehe.
I LOVE VISUAL NOVELS.
This is really cute. Oh, what I'd do for a backlog or a scroll wheel...
The art is amazing first of all, I like the different models and the expressions the characters had. The quality is actually kinda insane...
But more than the art, the dialogue was really really nice, if a tiny bit tropey. Each character has a voice, they all were charming in their own way. Were there multiple routes and endings?
The art is adorable. I think it's brave for you guys to make a VN. It's very hard to create a succesful narrative game within 2 weeks. One tip I would like to give is to make sure your UI box doesn't allow for 25-30words. That's generally what people are comfortable reading :)
The chara design is really fun, art's overall really pretty! Now, it doesn't really feel like a game and it lacks polish (The rhythm was odd at some points, there were no cues for when a day passed, and pretty sure I encountered bugs in the restaurant, when I got the dialogues for both the paella and the poke back to back)
I have nothing against visual novels in itself, but as a player, I would've like to be more "included" in this story. Maybe by going myself to the places, to have meaningful choices (two week is short for tree dialogue writing, but even the possibility to reject the love interest at the end would've make a huge difference)
Also I would've rather the dialogues to be cut in smaller chunks, to feel less like a text wall, and have more rhythm to it.
On the writing side, the characters acted in quite an artificial manners, like if their interest for the main character was forced for the story, I agreed hard with the protagonist when he said that everything felt rushed :/
Now on the bright side, the music changing for every spot was a really nice touch and I found some of the joke pretty fun! I could see the effort made in the scene transition with that note book. to me this jam entry looks like the project of people who cared for real, and put their heart to it, but encountered unexpected issues along the way, or simply over scoped. I'm genuinely curious of what this game would've look like if you had the time to make what you planned to in the first place.
Any way, big GG for making it to the end!
