Pretty fun game! The concept is pretty solid, and most of the puzzles are well designed. I was able to figure out what was going on very quickly without any sort of tutorial, which is a good sign. I also love Gooby's sprite; he's adorable.
The previous comment by CandlestickDev covers most of my other thoughts, but I have a few other things I'd like to note:
But those notes aside, great stuff!
Dougie Jones got nothing on Gooby...Very charming game! The cutscene at the end was a nice touch. I would have liked to see Gooby himself spin a bit more; his physics-based movement didn't add much other than rolling into spikes sometimes on level transitions/restarts. Overall though, I thought the puzzles were clever. I think there's a lot of potential for the puzzles were the player can't move Gooby directly. I'm not sure if I enjoy the "maze game" (don't touch the walls) level at the end, but the crank mechanic could also be used for some cool gimmicks beyond opening passages.
Fun puzzles, well made :)
I didn't really like the music, it was very goofy yes, but it was too much i think.
very serious game complete with very serious art indeed
(in all honesty I was hoping to play a game like this during the jam)
This is a really funny game lol. I really liked the gameplay and art, and the physics of the blocks worked out really well! I will say that in fullscreen mode. The physics got really wonky and laggy for me (It could be my browser or PC or something I'm not sure) But overall very fun and serious game!
quite funny lol, i loved gooby. The puzzles are quite creative and cool with good feeling physics and it was quite fun discovers the solution to all the puzzles too! Great work!!
gooby is the most serious of the jam, good job gooby
Very fun and creative game. I think you did a great job with the physics of the game! It was fun to discover the solution to all the puzzles, and none were particularly hard or time-consuming. Great work!
Love the graphics and the seriousness, very fun game overall.

Very gooby. i like it
Probably one of the most fun games so far! The levels are actually so well designed, it really makes you use your brain for some puzzles. The whole idea of the game is also so
funnyincredibly serious, loved all of it :)'goob'
Great Job!! I really loved that drag and drop part which required a lot of brain.... btw.... it was serious!!

A goob-tocracy is coming to a country near you
very serious, needs more spins
Yea, realized halfway thru that the fans don't really count in my book. Thanks for the feedback.
This is a very, very serious game with very, very serious mechanics and themes.
I highly enjoyed this serious experience with all of its serious jokes and all of its serious puzzles. The only nitpick that I have is that some game elements were hidden just past the edges of the screen, and I couldn’t figure out how to full-screen the game.
Gobby from Future is my favorite serious thing. Great job!
Thanks! Yeah, I ran into one export issue; that being for some reason, only fullscreen looked like it did in the editor, windowed mode cut off portions of it... Hopefully I can get that fixed sometime in the future after the jam :)
Hey! Playing through this game I am impressed with how cohesive the puzzles are for such a small timeframe. Many a released steam game would have KILLED to have puzzles this clever.
I like leaving some points of improvement as well for if you want to continue building this. So here are some:
- Sound. The sound peaks at times. A full rebalance of some of the SFX might be needed (or a reupload
- Settings (mostly for the sound)
- The difficulty goes up RAPID. So maybe some interim levels that teach the player how to manipulate the fans better would be good. An example is the one where Gooby drops from the ceiling alongside a box. It might be better to just put Gooby at the bottom there and just have the "use both boxed" as the primary central idea of the puzzle. In general (I think) every puzzles should have one central idea that it is about!
Good stuff! Let me know if you ever do something else with this.
Hi! Thanks for the review :) I am very happy to hear the comment about the clever puzzles, I have never touched one puzzle game, and this was my first real game EVER so I am stoked to hear it was done well. About the sound/settings, those were mostly out of scope for the project, but yes, better audio would've helped, especially in the end cutscene as I recorded the CEO's lines in my bedroom with a microphone and NOTHING else in like 2 takes so it was very unprofessional.
And thanks for noting the difficulty, I didn't release this for playtesting and by the time I had finished development it was all easy to me lol. Actually, the level with gooby dropping from the ceiling is actually the nerfed version of it, originally the gap was a lot smaller to shoot the boxes into the right hole, and it was getting frustrating trying to record progress footage where I got stuck for multiple minutes trying to do my own puzzle because I just mechanically sucked at the timing, so I widened it lol. I figured the real challenge should be figuring out what to do, not actually doing it, that should be secondary.
Thanks gamer, very cool!
Im a sucker for puzzle games, this was so much fun!
very serious
Incredibly serious, it has a line graph in it, how much more serious can a game get?
cant disagree with that logic!
Nice game. Loved the serious ending
Wow, this is the most serious game to ever serious, that being said, I really like how silly it is, I also think the levels are balanced quite nicely and the overall art is quite good, really funny
Thanks! :)
Damn its SERIOUS
