I gotta say, I love the work you've done here. I really missed seeing Game Boy games. The graphics and pixel art are so faithful to the original hardware, so congrats on that! The gameplay was good, though the floor felt a bit slippery. But overall, great job and congrats, I really liked it! :)

Nice little demo here, for sure it's something to build on further. I think you're aiming for some what like a Mario movement, though i don't remember it being too slippery (maybe tone that down very slightly?) Also the caves are a little too dark but maybe it's just me. But otherwise the visuals matches the gameboy theme very well! Great package here!

Nice to play another GB Studio video game in this jam! This was a cute platformer. I loved the catchy music :3

Ashame about the attack not making it into the game, I would’ve liked to show them turtles who is the boss, overall really nice level design, I was jumping all over the shop exploring, really felt like Mario vibes.

Good job folks on the game!

I really like how well you nailed the Gameboy aesthetic with the graphics. From the color scheme to the simple but cute graphics, it was really nice to look at. The game itself was easy to get into and there is a fair amount of difficulty on it. I think with a bit more polish in terms of visual feedback (Especially when attacking enemies) & sound effects this would be even more fun. Good job!

Not really sure if this is a bug or not but the jump key is the down arrow for me. Also the visuals make it quite hard to see what`s going on. I like the GameBoy-style graphics though!

Hi, thank you for trying out the game!

In regard to the controls, the jump button is indeed the down arrow key, this is because the mapping is D-PAD = WASD and Action Buttons being Arrow Keys, with start and select being Q and E(which doesn't have any function at the moment in this game). This is stated in the Controls section of the page. Obviously depending on feedback, will determine whether I control with keep this type of control scheme that I'm testing out(as it's one I've personally used over the years), but I apologise if this has lead to confusion.

A decent demo project! The artstyle is nice and consistent throughout, though i dont see any relevance to the "spin to win" theme but thats fine, audio was decent too though did get repetitive fast. Anyways not really much to say except maybe that the movement was a bit slidey which made some of the jumping on platforms a bit tougher, and also attacking is kinda weird as you tend to get damaged to attack them not sure if thats intentional. But anyways overall good little small demo project. :>

Hey, thank you for trying out the demo project!

The attack was the implementation of the 'spin to win', I had planned for attacking mechanic(the player character's spin) to have a more important role in winning the game, unfortunately I didn't get round to that, but still wanted to submit the progress that I made though.
