I honestly thought the game would end when the ufo picked me up haha, but I was very happily surprised by the rest of the game. Very creative ways to use the spin mechanic to help people and the game had a very nice vibe to it too! Good job!
One of the last games I rate for this jam! Very cool entry, glad I got to play it at the end. I love that you have to let your momentum carry you through your spin double jump. It felt great.
The first level felt a bit too long though. The game gets 10 times better with the double jump. I feel like you could have skipped the entire first platforming section or made it shorter.
That being said the game was awesome, visuals great, gameplay great, level design great! Good job on the jam!
This game feels like walking through some strange little dream town at the edge of space. The villagers, dialogue, music, and visuals all give it a really unique mood. Spintacular!
How surreal. The visuals, audio, world, and unique take on the theme were really cool. It took me a moment though for my eyes to adjust to the movement since it was giving me a bit of motion sickness. Some of the objects or maybe it was just the feeling gave me Stanley Parable vibes. Just like others said, some forgiveness in check points would make this go far. Well done with Godot. Also, it worked fine for me on WebGL.
This is definitely my favorite game from this jam that I've played so far. It's weird and rough around the edges and confusing, so I love it. The double jump took some getting used to. It wasn't too bad once I realized that I keep most of my momentum in the air when I stop moving. I didn't get motion sickness, but I can see that being a problem for a lot of people. I liked the platforming sections as nice interludes, but if I didn't get that antenna section on my second try, it would've severely slowed the pacing of the game for me. Besides minor nitpicks, the writing is great, the environments are unnervingly peaceful, and every bit of this game is packed with charm.
The trip in this game is real, it's like playing a dream. The second section of the obby/platform have a couple of difficult jumps back to back between checkpoints (i suggest to build sections with one medium and one difficult jump between checkpoints or 2 difficult jumps but in a smaller section so the retries are less frustrating). To be honest i felt a little bit sick from the 360 mechanic at the beginning, but then it passed while playing. I see the concept and the vision, great entry!
That was trippy as hell in the best way possible! lol
It took me a little bit to get through but that's just cuz I suck at platforming, it wasn't too difficult to get through and I LOOOVE the visual style!
My mouse did go off screen into my other monitor a couple times making me have to do a 360 to align myself again but hey, that just adds another spin!
Very fun, well done!
Wow, what a game. I truly enjoy the atmosphere you were able to create. The music, the art, the mechanics. All very nice. I do agree that I wish it had checkpoints (I'm bad at every game tbh). Also, while I absolutely *adore* the spin, it can be hard to put in more time into the game when the player may feel dizzy. All in all, I easily put in wayyy more time in this than many other games, so great job!
Incredible game! The visuals and creativity really stood out, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It genuinely felt like I was playing through a dream. My only criticism is the lack of checkpoints during the antenna section, it nearly made me rage quit! Despite that, it's an absolutely fantastic, high-quality game. Great work!
EXCUSE ME?! who let you absolutely COOK with this game! this is honestly my exact niche in video game. I really want to learn how to achieve this sort of look. I'm genuinely blown away by this. 5/5 stars across the board here for me.
This game was Weird™. It’s the right kind of game for me! I loved the environment, the dialogue, the vibes. Very surreal. I enjoyed it a lot.
The spin jumps took a long time for me to get used to, it didn’t feel like there was any room for error. Maybe more forgiving checkpointing could help here. But near the end of the game I felt like I finally found my stride with the jumps.
Thanks for the weird experience! Great job!
Really nice sound design - very atmospheric! I also like the graphics a lot too. Good job!
The first sections took awhile since it was hard to make the jumps. But I like the story you put on for this! Great work!
Very surreal and has got a neat vibe going on but I do not like the platforming. Being barely able to make some jumps just makes it a pain sadly. Keep making games.
I like the vibes of this, and the simplicity of the story for what it is. My only gripe is with the spinning being a tad hard to get the hang of since it seems like you have to be right on the edge of the object you can't quite jump to. But besides that it was very nice! Would have been cool to hear some breakcore from the record player too :O
It was really surreal, loving it. Would be cool to have the controls in the pause menu.
This game was soooo cool. I did not enjoy the platforming segments very much, they just felt like things placed to pad time, but the interactions with npcs were cute, the audio was very fitting, and the artstyle is off the charts good. I loved how the characters looked at you, although I'll mention i found the spinning really fast to be a little hard on the eyes. Really cool settings going on here. Neat stuff.
your aesthetic and visual style are incredible, the game just nails this familar yet strange feeling, which is further enchanced by your writing. Interacting with the villagers and solving their problems by using the spin ability was my favorite part of the game, such a unique concept for the game jam.
My only cavet would be the platforming segments- they felt a bit repetative at times and I felt the physics of the moveset were a little inconsistent. That being said, this was still a stellar experience, I could play an entire game on the segment in the village alone.
Really Cool!!!
boy oh boy you are blessed i did not play this one on stream because i spent like 5 whole minutes on the first section. but that said, surreal. i am intimidated and it's good
