Fun game, I think you've got a solid idea here! As others said , having the gear indicate what it's turning, especially when platforms are off screen would be nice. I also got caught on corners a few times when jumping onto platforms. But still great work!

The mechanic idea is very cool, there's some layers of polish that feel missing with it though, such as snapping onto gears better or maybe having an indicator for when it's about to break. I thought having gears you have to turn without knowing what they're going to activate or more importantly which direction to turn them was very frustrating, especially when you have to go all the way back down (with very little camera to do that with safely) to find out. I wish the colorwork was done a little bit differently, as it was often difficult to tell foreground and background at a glance, maybe some blueish tones towards the background? Regardless of all this though, it's still a pretty creative and polished platformer, that's very cohesive between audio. visual, and gameplay design. Nice work!

The mechanics are cool, but you really need to focus the camera on the plattform that you are moving. Since you can spin the gears in 2 directions, you never really know if you spinned it in the right direction, which made the last level super annoying for me. I wanted to beat the game, but i gave up, because i didnt know what the hell i was interacting with. I loved the soundtrack though! It was very magical and fit the setting well.

The mechanic has so much potential and level design is great and engaging. The atmosphere from visuals, music and SFX are suited really well. Maybe adding a way see the full puzzle map and making the gear stop rotation when it hit both ends is a good idea. Please continue working on it!

Really neat mechanic, I feel like it has a lot of potential. I wish you could better see what each gear activated. The pixel was charming. The platforming felt a little off, I would've like if you always stuck to the platform instead of having to move with it.

Cute game, I like the player character and aesthetics especially!

The cog spinning mechanic is clever and fun to work with, there's just two things I'd change to make it feel a bit more natural: far offscreen platforms should teleport close to the screen when you're moving them towards it. Or there could be another cog type that moves faster the more you spin, to fix the long waiting issue on particular cogs. Also, it would be nice if spinning the mouse wheel could grab things without the need to click.

The collision and jumping feels off at times, but that's okay since the puzzle solving seems to be more of a focus than precision. Great work!

Cool concept. I'd love to be able to have a more clear feedback of what gears activate what, especially in levels with multiple gears that opens door far away ( maybe something like Zelda, where you the camera zooms to where the door is open ), but otherwise this is a solid entry! Good job team

Really kool concept. I like the art and music. The levels had some good designs. Overall very well done! ^_^

Super cool game and very clever, would love to play more games like this :D

Really cool art and metalic cogs theming, made me feel very robotic.

On my PC it played really well, although the mouse wheel controls are a little awkward. Love the art and the puzzles were cool too

I also played on a laptop with a trackpad unfortunately -- I'll come back and try again with a mouse! But I loved the art, really nice aesthetics.

Clever gameplay and use of theme, though I wish it was more obvious what cogs moved what.
Also it would be neat if there was a limit to how much you could spin a cog.

i like this game. i did play it on a trackpad which meant it was way harder than it would be with a mouse, but i still enjoyed it nonetheless.

I really like audio and music that felt perfectly placed within the game atmosphere. Very simple and nice mechanics that are fun to play around with and allow for many different puzzles.

A really cool concept! It was really fun solving the puzzles and platforming. It did get a little tedious scrolling to turn the gears, especially for long platforms, though, especially if you die a lot which i did. The theme was also really cool and unique!

Cool main mechanic that you implemented very well and explored nicely in the level design. The character controller is a little slow, but it fits with the vibe and aesthetic you chose.

My only complaint is how moving things that are out of view can be a little frustrating. Overall a enjoyable puzzle platformer to solve. Good work!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing the game! The current implementation of the platforms is a little limiting. We probably should have had some sort of UI indicator for what platform is moving based on the gear you're attached to.

Very nice looking and serious game, charming levels, fitting audio, game is beautiful, at most it lacks some polish and juice, really well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I would have loved to polish this some more, but i was on build attempt 7 at 5 am last night 0_0
