Looks interesting! Regarding your disclaimer, was a cultural consultant, sensitivity reader, or Algonquian person involved in creating the module?
We did not have an Algonquian person or cultural consultant involved in creating the module. However, we were aware of issues involving the wendigo’s misrepresentation in other media, and we tried hard to research and represent it in a more faithful manner while also trying to interpret how such a creature would fit into a science fiction setting. For example, wendigos are often depicted in modern stories as having antlers or deer heads, or as being animalistic and mindless. Traditional wendigos do not have antlers, and are often capable of intelligence, and we depicted the one in our module as such.
