I played for a couple of rounds. I must confess I don’t know why I would go into duck-mode ever. Maybe there was something I missed. But it could have been cool if that was the only way you could pick up more ducks, or maybe you moved a little faster as duck. or could swim.

I get the idea of the spinning, but it took me a little to understand it and never got any good of using or adapting to it, so maybe if it was shooting and spinning a whole lot more and faster already from the beginning and even more with upgrades it would have felt better.

Solid entry though.

Developer

First idea was that standing still would trigger the shooting, therefore making the player have to decide between evading enemies and shooting them. However that felt clunky so we just made it trigger via input.

My duckies!! Fun vampire survivors style game and it was a cool idea to play around with spinning bullets and trying to shoot the foxes by circling them. I think the difficulty could be tweaked and there could be more contrast between the ducklings and the background as sometimes it was hard to notice when a new duckling spawned.

Developer(+1)

I guess we could make the duckling with outline or something to make them more noticeable.

Also I agree with the difficulty we didn't quite got to the perfect balance but I'm happy for what we achieved in the  time limit.

Thanks for the feedback:)

became a game about slaughtering millions of foxes as soon as I realized you can just cheese the whole game by hiding the duckling behind you in the corner of the map

Very cute, but I found it too hard since you couldn't really control the direction of the shots and it took too long to cycle around the duckling.

Also is there any reason to not be in tornado form all the time? Duck form seems to not do anything

I'm not the dev, but I was wondering the same thing. I wasn't sure but it seemed like you move a little faster when you are not in tornado form?

Developer

Our first idea was to only make the duck shoot when standing still, so we have all the animations for that. However that mechanic felt kinda clunky so we scrapped it in the end

Cool, but quite difficult lol

I think adding some kind of aiming (at least in the early stage before you get a few upgrades) would make this game way more enjoyable

Thank you for making a game!

The D key didn’t work for me for some reason so I had to use the arrow keys, but the overall game play is pretty good!

Cute.  This feels more survivors than a survivors game.
