Ah, a fellow ball-in-spinning-disc enjoyer. This was great! Most of the cards struck a nice balance in affecting the outcome without outright deciding it and the fact that you always earned some money without having to wager stopped it from being purely dependent on luck. I think the cards are pretty expensive for their effects though, like paying $50 for an extra $1 per sector would be really difficult to profit from - however if that were a passive effect that was always active, I could easily see it for that price. Loved the audio especially, a very solid entry!

The transition effect from 2D to 3D was really cool! Is this a 3D game, or was that all simulated?

Its entirely 2D! I used a technique called sprite stacking and modified it a little bit. Thanks for playing!

Fun, polished game, really solid entry to the jam. It felt very Balatro coded, and I could definitely see this hitting a bit bigger if you went and fully developed it. The sound design was superb and the graphics felt pretty charming.

If you do take this further I would recommend updating the wheel a bit, it feels a little predictable and there's not many slots for future development. Like how Balatro has jokers maybe you could introduce little addons to the wheel that you place on different slots, such as like a 2x win if it lands there, or potentially treat the wheel like a deck where you have multiple wheels, maybe one with a 3rd color that splits wins into a 3x instead of a 2x.

That being said I think the games in a pretty good, impressive spot for the jam.

The almighty wheel selected your game to be showcased in my latest YouTube video! Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for making the game! I lost everything! :D

Thanks for playing!

Next time you get the chance, and if you want to,  do pay attention to the music. There are actually 3 different tracks playing throughout the game. In your video, you encountered all 3, so it shouldn't be too hard to find them again.

I will say that they are pretty similar, and the fact you didn't notice them means my code worked perfectly!

You have no idea how much it makes me happy to see someone play my game. Thank you!! :D

this is great! i'd wish you also put all the tutorial tips in the description too just in case you forgot something

aaand maaaybe also specify that you have to get the ball into the correct sector for complete idiots like me (it genuinely took me like 5 minutes to figure that out lolll)

Really enjoyed this one. A nice, chill game to play late at night. I liked the different cards' abilities being able to affect the physics of the ball, lots of strategies to use with combining them. Great work!

This game is so well polished I'm impressed! I really like the smooth animations for the shop and card, and I think it's a very creative idea to use cards to change the physics of the ball!

I think you should make the wheel like, more similar to an actual roulette wheel. As it stands right now, the same thing happens every time at the end. The ball is in one colour, the wheel moves up, the slides down , and it either falls into the adjacent colour, or it skips over one and lands in the same colour. It always does one of two things at the end and it makes it a little samey and makes the entire opening first 10 seconds feel pointless.

However, that is just a small gripe, and overall I really enjoyed this game! I would love if you added more cards and betting options, and really made you able to completely change the roulette wheel in your favour!

I think my biggest personal recommendation game play wise would be to decrease the time between rounds. It seems to be somewhere around about 15-18 seconds per spin. The ball bouncing and sounds felt very satisfying and the music was nice and chill. Fun game!

It was fun trying to figure out how to use the card effects. The sound effects are also very satisfying.

Very addicting. Nothing quite as exhilarating as putting the house on black and praying.

Love the visuals and mechanics,  it was really fun and relaxing to play. Amazing job!

Great visuals and overall game feel! Got a little confused at first, but it's easy enough to understand even without the tutorial! Great job🎉

Nice visuals. I liked the sfx and bgm the most, it really createsan ambient atmosphere.

Very solid, fits the theme, good music. Not much if anything to fault for a jam game. I had to play the tutorial twice, but thats my fault for not reading the first time. It was pretty fun too, Big numbers make monkey brain happy

Pretty fitting to the theme. The idea of spinning the wheel and cheating to win the bet for the theme is cool, and the card effects are a nice addition that give the player more ways to turn things in their favor. Visually, the game is "serious"ly, well polished, as well as the stake of betting money to the table.
