It was really good, here is mine https://inked-toast.itch.io/beigoma-hustle

It is super good. I didnt quite get it the first time partly due to the tuturial being short, but it is really fun. To make it even better I would add some more clear indication of hitting a blu ball and red ball, make it have a bit more partlicles, a bit of hit stun on the bad ones. And no doubt some powerups like a longer spinning pole, spin faster, two poles with one on each side of the sphere. Also I think the game needs a better loose condition because If I just leave the ball going it on average collects more points than it looses, although I am not sure how to do this. I got to 120 and it was really fun.

Thankyou https://inked-toast.itch.io/beigoma-hustle

You know the drill, or not. I give you a topic and you explain how you would design a game in with that topic. Like a game jam but just in your mind.

TODAY'S TOPIC: How would you design a game about eating?

Here are some thoughts to help you along, you can ignore them if you want:

  • How indepth do you go, do you control jaw movements individually?
  • Professional eaters travel all around the world.
  • Multiplayer with different people controlling different muscles.

Also for those that missed the last two, they are linked below

And because I cant resist a little advertisement, rate my game please

That was really fun, I did two playthroughs, one normal and one just spinning. I'll have to come back later to get the rest of the dialogue and endings. One little bit of feedback would be the text box, I would love it if at first click it finished the typing animation and displayed all the text and the second click changed to the next text. But that's just a little preference of mine, the game is solid no doubt.

TODAY'S TOPIC: How would you design a game about surfing? I'm not talking no CS surfing, I mean a board on an ocean wave. Have fun designing :D

Here are some thoughts to help you along, you can ignore them if you want:

  • Do you control the surfer or something else?
  • Being a pro is tuff and their are some good stories about it.
  • Anyone remember California Games on the NES?

Thats an awesome idea :D

I'm not sure what you meant by misled but I totally agree that the world's reactions would be the main point of a game in this theme.

Here is a thought challenge for anyone that wants to try.

How do you design a game where the main character is super overpowered, like One punch man the game. (Doesnt have to be opm just an example)

Edit* Incase you are unclear this just a fun design challenge on how you would make a game in such style. An example would be your overpowered but you have to pull your punches so the media doesn't frame you a killer, or a puzzle where each enemy is done in one shot but you have to figure out how to get to them through their mech suits.

Have Fun coming up with ideas :D

Yeah, sorry but due to time constraints and me over scoping I couldn't get the online or CPU finished so only local multiplayer works. I should have removed the buttons.

Now this awesome. The roguelite progression was so unexpected but welcome and the juice man. This game is hard, but that juice and the lil dude just kept pulling me back in.

Thanks for playing, I'm sorry you got a bug, did the game not replay your fight as an animation? There was a bug where the game just kept playing after the animation I thought I fixed but that mustn't have fixed it.

F***'n awesome man. From the itch.io page to the gameplay everything oozes style and the humor was great.

Really fun, I had a scaling issue and couldn't see all the screen at first but it cleared up after a few screen refreshes. The art was really good, and the gameplay is tough but rewarding. All round great entry.

That tease where only one is a fail slowed me down so much and I was pulling my hair out... Great game. Here is mine /jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4716367

I somehow spent half an hour playing this game and it took 2026 applications, that tells you it was good, also was the 2026 an intentional easter egg or I just got luck (or unlucky)

Rated, it was nice. One of the more unique mechanics for sure, I enjoyed just flipping the food and seeing how many flips I could get. /jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4716367

Very good, I found the flip noise annoying after a while though. It was pretty fun and the cooking mechanics are solid.

I liked it, here is mine https://inked-toast.itch.io/beigoma-hustle

Pretty good, Unique mechanic and I haven't seen any fishing game with that kind of reaction test before. Unfortunately it is a bit slow and the resetting to day 1 almost made me rage quit. I liked the variety of fish. Definitely having a return to last day or something like that would be good.

Thats a great idea. Here's Mine Beigoma Hustle https://inked-toast.itch.io/beigoma-hustle

Extremely polished, great art. I felt the theme of spin to win wasn't the strongest but then again it is a pretty addictive game loop. All and all... I loved it. Kaiju was super cute.

One of the most unique mechanics, I really enjoyed the concept. The planet motion was aggrevatingly slow at times as well as the controls sometimes changing for planets on an orbital path, from rotation with ad and motion with ws to rotate with a and move with d. Other than that though it really is quite unique and offered up some fun puzzles.

I have seen a few games with this mechanic so far, but this was really nicely done good visuals and music. I indeed suffered on that level.

It's been a few years, and looking at the analytics... Yall are searching some weird shit to end up at my game. Just thought you wanted to know.

A fun new simultaneous turn based fighter in a top down perspective, where you customise your spinning top to get a unique Moveset and then battle you opponent in fast paced matches. Once the match is over, all previous moves are played back in real time making your battle look straight out of an Anime.

If you read this far just go and play it. It's free.

Thanks, and yeah I messed up bigtime on the text.

The funnest main mechanic I have seen in the jam yet, totally encapsulates the theme and is super reusable as a one button command. I would like if the timer ticked at half speed when you are in the "spin" state but other then that it is awesome.

Awesome mate

Not too bad, super broken though. I see the vision and I reckon cleaning up a few bugs will make it pretty good, like the gun not firing.

Very solid, fits the theme, good music. Not much if anything to fault for a jam game. I had to play the tutorial twice, but thats my fault for not reading the first time. It was pretty fun too, Big numbers make monkey brain happy

Pretty good. Level design was on point and you made quite a few interesting puzzles. My recommendations would be some more feedback on the jump so it is clear that is happened, and maybe a ui icon to indicate it is a single use power up. Also Make a few levels that are really tight to vary with the regular level structure. All and all though it was pretty fun and a good entry :)

I dont know if it was meant to be a rage game but it felt like one in the best way. The screwdriver dudes absolutely destroyed me. Also the gear mechanic is so good, forcing you to go to tight spaces to properly utilize it, also the sound, awesome.

Yes, sure. The buttons are your available moves, you have dash, bullet, slash, fire, jump and two others but I didn't finish them. Only the local vs works because I over scoped :D You click the red stick on the purple circle to control the Directional Input wich determines the direction of the bullet, slash and dash. Bullet slash and jump are the three movement options +jump. The game is a simultaneous turn based game so player 1 and 2 both take turns at the same time. Once the game is finished, all your turns compile and make an animation of your Beyblade fight. Sorry again for the missing modes and illegible text, I struggled with fitting it in properly.

I couldn't get the wordle

Thanks, I'll check it out once rating starts. https://inked-toast.itch.io/beigoma-hustle

Love it, first I have seen a mechanic anything like this :D

Vehicle control was pretty good, very F-Zero. my best time was 34.53 seconds. Oh and how could I forget MOEBIU INFINITO!!

Liked the ghosts coming back. The variety of weapons was good too, forcing you to swap every loop was also a nice touch. I killed myself so many times with the rocket launcher, but that was part of the fun.

Pretty hard, but I got the hang after a few rounds. Those white clothes kept taking me out. My best score was 1880 I think. Cool game.
