Very nice way of the spin use.

Tho the music was quite loud. If there was an option to lower it unless there was and i skipped it by accident

I like this kind of humor :) made me chuckle from the get go before even starting up the game :D "run seriousness" is hibrow humor in my book!

There is a LOTTTTTT of lore text, which I would not mind if this was a fuller full game. It added a lot of comedy and seriousness to the game. I went out of bounds before the true level began, thanks to that one rotator block corner piece. The game itself is pretty challenging, love the use of spinning through shift instead of using the mouse. Saved my right hand the pain.

Most serious game in this jam. I felt my pants spin! Neat li'l game, I loved the dungeon keeper :)

So I loved the game concept! Very fun idea. I didn’t manage to finish it myself, though, as the combat felt pretty poor. There is no collision between enemies, or between the player and enemies. Combined with the similar speed of the player and enemies, and the fact that the sword does not reach enemies that are on top of you, this can often lead to very difficult situations where you can’t do anything except take damage until you die. In practice, the game seemed to incentivize you to aim your sword at the enemy and keep your distance, rather than actively using the swinging mechanic. Either way, the game was enjoyable, and I hope this helps you improve it if you ever decide to do a post-jam version!

This game was incredibly serious! the story was serious, and I enjoyed the simple control system. Only thing is with the combat is if an enemy ever got close to you you could never hit it and since you were both the same speed you could never get away. It was a really fun game though!! Glad I ended up playing it!

I will always respect the seriousness of a story about a person and their (highly judgmental) dog.

I really liked that you controlled both the dungeon and the sword with the same button! I did struggle with the combat room, though. If an enemy got to me, it'd just stay on top of me and suck all my health, and the room was so long it felt intimidating to start all over again. I also definitely thought you had to swing the sword to do damage - I didn't realize you could just point it at the enemy.

My computer also kept thinking I wanted to activate sticky keys - maybe a button other than shift would have helped there!

Alas, I got stuck in the wall and then was unable to complete the level. Wasn't sure how to restart without redoing the entire game, so I left it here.

Having said that, the portion of the game I played felt very on theme. Haven't played a game where you control obstacles AND attack at the same time with the same button. Pretty cool.

Interesting game. I was unable to kill more than one enemy, maybe is just me, but I feel like the sword moves too slow.

it would be fun if we were able to use the traps to kill the enemies. good take on the theme, i like it

Interesting game! The enemies are very challenging and the mechanics are quite interesting! Though the game does need a bit more polish but understandable in a game jam setting especially in the visuals and audio. I would say its quite creative and serious! Overall, game's cool but needs a bit more polish, though I still had a bit of fun with it! Great work!

it took me a bit to get used to the combat but i got it in the end, i like the way you used the theme, just so you know the music does not loop

Fun adventure, the enemies make it challenging, do wish I could spin in either direction though :) Nice job!

Really neat mechanic, I liked having to balance avoiding doors with combat. I had fun playing this one! The narrator was also very serious, which is what this jam is all about. Great job!

Nice game that fits the concept, would've been nice to see more dungeon areas and maybe different enemies and encounters. Most of the encounters just had me pre-aligning the sword and running away, great work!

seriously beated it. at first i found out only spin when needed and then that i might even take out the enemy from a dist without even being noticed which turns it into some sort of stealth game. very cool game, especially those words on both sides of the alley almost feel like runes

While it's definitely a unique concept and fits the jam theme for sure, I think the enemy encounters are frustrating because they mostly match your speed so it's really hard to get away from them to attack them, and they melt your health. I just felt no incentive to keep playing (also I died so much that the music didn't loop lol) But it looks cool at least and good job on finishing it on time!

Really nice game!

This game was quite enjoyable. There were few and easy to grasp controls (move = WASD, spin = SHIFT) and the level and sword spinning together added some challenge to it (I had less than a 10th of my HP before collecting the 2 last keys so I had to lock in). The visuals aren't outstanding but the style fits the vibe of the game. The audio was truly on point for the deep dungeon atmosphere and was probably the most serious thing about this project (the dialogue just wasn't, but I'll give it points for the "ironic seriousness"). I wish I could give more points for creativity but so many people used and overused the "spinning world" gimmick that I'm getting numb to it, but the enjoyment was undeniable, and it was one of those rare times where janky collisions would be forgiven by the player (there were times I would pass through those moving walls which would help me dodge enemies so the buggy collisions are actually "good" game design here). Nice work there 👍

Very clever, I enjoyed the mechanics a lot! Also some good strategy when you can spin the enemies on the devices, too. I think a different color to the areas you can stand on would help, instead of them being the same light blue as the barriers. Overall nice work!
