Very fun concept, with great visuals and audio to match. I think it all comes together well.
I personally didn't find the AI too easy to cheese past the first upgrade or so because they were coming from too many directions. So if you make the AI better at not getting stuck you might want to compensate by reducing how fast they spawn, at least at until the second upgrade or so.

My biggest gripe would be the lack of a player health indicator. I also feel like making it so that your bullets don't go through the slot machines would both up the difficulty a bit, and make them act as expected (and make the AI harder to cheese)

Also, I'd recommend setting camera boundaries on the edge of the map so the player can't see the empty space outside of the floor texture. I'd also recommend making the respawn cost all your current money, I stopped caring about dying after a certain point.

Plus a small UI thing that would add a LOT of juice is indicators/sfx every time you spend money on something. Whether it be gambling or respawning, there should be an indication that I'm spending money on it!

But overall you have a good foundation and a fun loop!

Pretty good game. I like how many weapons are there in the game

A lot of fun and could really be developed further! Like others said-- allowing you to hold to fire would be good. Also making the enemy AI a little harder to 'cheese' as well!

A lot of fun! All weapons are not created equally though haha.

Thank you! The enemy AI is also something I wanted to change a bit because of them getting stuck so much, even tho they are zombies. And also, yeah, the riffle is quite a problematic one to balance

The game feel and visuals are amazing. There's a tight core gameplay loop here that you can expand on. Congrats!

I just wish I were better at the game...

Great game! It would be nice if you could see the players health. Lovely Stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The player health was one of the planed features, if the game continues being developed then it will be one of the first features to be added

I thought it was really fun! The movement, audio and visuals feel really good! Biggest thing it needs is hold down to fire. I think we should be able to see how many hits we can take before we lose and choose which gun we have, the slot machine feels like its a downgrade when we get the slow guns. Also the game is trivialized when we get enough damage on an AK.

Thank you! The hold down to fire feature was supposed to be implemented but in the end we didn't got to do it before the Jam, but if we continue the development then its something to be added, just like a health bar which was also planed. The AK problem was also something I noticed and I had to ramp up the difficulty of the game because that was happening in every playthough, but its still a problem, not as big, but still there

I think this could really benefit from allowing players to hold the fire button. Clicking every time is a pain.

Still, interesting concept.

Thanks for the feedback!
We were supposed to implement that, only after your comment we realized that was missing haha, Thank you for playing!
