This was a great time! The boomerang aiming takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it feels really nice (and props for having a tutorial at the start to practice it without danger). Music is intense and cool, and the sound effects are nice. Love the visual style, too.
I also really liked the flow of the game. I felt like the most intense part of each room was the very beginning and you have to react fast because everything rushes at you, and then if you handle that part right, you can get into a nice flow with it. Not sure if that was intentional, but I loved that little adrenaline spike at the start of each room.
All-in-all, this was a fantastic jam entry. Great work!
Also, I love that it was written in LÖVE! :)
Thanks for enjoying the fact it was made in Love, very fun to use a different option! And the boomerang took SO long to get right!
little bro is WEAK with one heart but this challenge would of course not stop me. very satisfying to get multiple in one swing, would love to see some visual feedback from chaining attacks. but nonetheless, feels very good to play and i'd totally see this as an arcade game people would compete to get the best score at
That one heart must be a bug or something since it's supposed to be 2 :((, but thanks for the compliments on how it plays!
This is so slick! I love the controls - finding out the trajectory of the boomerang changed based on how far away your mouse is positioned from the character was delightful; the pathing of the enemies kept me on my toes; and I love the CRT filter over everthing, it really fit the vibe!
It feels like a proper arcade game where you'd pay for it in vegemite on toast to a big and wise huntsman spider named Cleor. The game and rhythm felt real good, I did not run into any issues whatsoever. Great job!
Thanks you mate! Glad it could be good!
Really cool game! I want to play it again since I only played it for a bit, but I really liked the controls, and the gameplay overall. The only thing that was a bit off for me is that I only have ONE HEALTH which kinda sucks, but yeah! Thanks for submitting your game :D
PD: I use wayland on linux and the browser version ran just fine
There should be 2 health in the game but I'm not sure why you have only 1. The Wayland version seems to work really iffy so a big recommendation is just installing it to prevent any weird bugs
This has such great potential! Loved the concept, had loads of fun. I think its totally worth giving some more time post jam for some extra game juice (impacts, knockback) and maybe consider try adding a charge mechanic for distance instead of mouse position ( this would make in gamepad compatible )
Keep working it, I had a blast.

This game is well though out ! great concept
Such a great mechanic. I love it.
I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanics, was very difficult!
I really loved the music and the mechanic is really fun!
Thank you! Glad you could have fun!
That was quite fun! but I did discover very quickly you can keep your mouse close and spamclick the boomerangs and stay pretty much safe, idk if that was intended or not but it made getting through failry easy, especially after I found more boomerangs. I was basically a boomerang machine gun! :P
Still quite fun having a dungron crawler like this, Sokka would be proud!
Thanks, glad you had fun, and yeah that actually was intended because not everyone figures it out and it's a nice extra mechanic if you do, and helps the difficulty a bit. Actually one of my play-testers figured it out whenever I sent it to them originally out of my 3 play-testers
Oh neat! Turns out I got big brain then! >:D
absolutely amazing and well polished game just needs a little bit of animations but very very enjoyable <3
Thank you! I actually just suck at animation so that's the big reason NOTHING is animated
Love the mechanic. I'll have to come back to this
Thanks! Hope you do come back!
Came back. Love the CRT effect on the screen, didn't notice that the first time. The mechanic is great and has potential
Really fun game to play, but a bit more of a Reaction Time for new enemys or when entering a new Room would have been nice.
Art and Music fits good for the Dungeon theme
Thanks for having fun! Yeah should have more reaction time!
Pretty fun game!, it was kind of hard to aim the boomerang since it aims to the side but i guess its accurate, maybe a weird comment, but i like the tutorial! its simple but effective, i dont think its really needed for a game this simple but its nice!, the filter was also good!
Thanks for enjoying the tutorial! It might not be fully needed but with the boomerangs aim it was so that you could kind of play around with it in a safer space which is why I have you hit targets
Pretty nice! I wish there was some upgrades and a health bar and other ways to interact with the enemies and boomerangs, but its nice, reminds me of binding of isaac!
Thanks! Upgrades were intended but wasn't able to work, and the health bar is the character and him losing half his hat but it's kind of hidden if you don't take damage to not be a nuisance
Good stuff! The boomerang physics feel really clean, and overall it reminds me of enter the gungeon.
I've never played enter the Gungeon, but I'm glad you enjoyed it and thought it was so good!
Fun idea. It has a nice progression being able to collect more boomerangs. Visual style is cool too though the scanline might be a bit too intense.
Yeah I should've added the ability to turn off the shader, but live and learn
The boomerang is very satisfying. Love the chiptune soundtrack too :D
Thank you! Choosing the music was really important to me!
The boomerang mechanics are actually pretty tight! Feels good to throw and fairly predictable where they’ll go and return. And the music shifting to get more and more stressful I definitely felt that. Fairly polished, good game feel.
Starting in the middle of the room and being swarmed immediately was a little jarring, gimme a sec to get ready xD but overall a fun experience.
Lol, yeah should've done the enemies WAY differently, but this is good to hear that you enjoyed it and the music
Quite difficult but the whole boomerang idea is super cool, and choosing how far you throw it too was an amazing addition! There could be more polish but the main thing is please dont start me in the middle of each room lol, being in the middle of all the enemies to start is not fun. Overall amazing work and fun game!!
