Wow! This is a great game! I'm honestly surprised y'all were able to get this to work in-browser so well. Really enjoy seeing the upgrades stack up on the spinner. And I was completely shocked by the boss when it came in!
I love the game! I was actually considering doing something like this, but man, you guys pulled it off much better. I love the upgrades and the eyeball monster. One issue I had was the framerate? It was very low on my device, about 20fps throughout the game
I'd be interested to know what browser you're using to run the game.
If you're using Google Chrome, make sure you have enabled "Use graphics acceleration when available" in Settings/System.
Very good! Super responsive feeling gameplay, definitely one of my favorites to come out of this jam!
very polished and extremely fun good job guys! This is really a standout amongst all beyblade games.
Honestly, the best game I have played from this jam so far. It was very good all around.
This is an awesome game! Love the music and visuals, feels very well polished. Seriously impressive how you managed to do this in a week!
WOW! That was an amazing and fun game to play, a very great experience! Loved spinning my top around, and many cool upgrades. Very great work!
Very well done! I felt like I was back in my childhood lol. Very fast-paced combat, and good augments!
Cool game! The progression feels so good and the gameplay is really cool!!
Holy cow, nice work! Very chaotic. I love legally-distinct Battle Tops™
Excellent job on the art! Picking up the cubes with hover was very satisfying in a Nintendo Wii kinda way. Great job on this!
Love roguelikes/vamp survivor games like this were your character visually changes with the upgrades. Gameplay felt nice and enjoyable too!
Really neat that your blade changes visually with your upgrades!
Started this off going, alright, I like this music, let's see. Then, learned the controls. Like that focus mode and that I can still pick up drops during it. Then it hit me with an upgrade choice. That's some solid artwork, and having not looked at the screenshots, I was definitely "Oh yeah."
Solid. Really appreciated the controls and upgrade/death art styles.
This is definitely my favourite beyblade game, there is so much juice :O
my favorite thing was the focus/dash mechanic. I also rly enjoyed the UI and the visuals !! As a fellow Blade-Submitter im rly impressed how u did all that in a week :) great work!!
Congrats on finishing the game!
I dont think I've ever played something similar, but I guess thats a very good way of creating a beyblade game
Kinda neat and has its own style, but it really doesn't do much outside of being beyblade vampire survivors.
this one is so high quality! I love it, one of my favs
10/10, absurdly fun gameplay and I the feel to everything is great! I've been looking into slowing down time for future project, how did you do it? Is it "just" setting timescale? I got mad hyped as soon as I saw the flesh battle blade with 4 legs and an eye!
The way we did it in this project is by setting Time.timescale.
We used DoTween in this project so I just used a tween to slow it down. (Smooths the slowdown effect a bit)
I found that slowing down timescale caused stuttering in the motion of the blades, so I also slowed down FixedDeltaTime proportional to the timescale.
The Unity docs describe how to adjust FixedDeltaTime while adjusting timescale
-> https://docs.unity3d.com/2021.3/Documentation/ScriptReference/Time-timeScale.htm...
I hope this helped <3
ps. Adjusting the timescale also slows down the audio so we got a speed ramp sound for free ;)
Thanks a lot for the answer, it really helped! <3
