Insanely polished game, especially for being made by just one person. Thought the saw mechanic was interesting and am curious to see what other ways you could create puzzles with it. One thing I noticed was that it often felt really difficult to tell when the lasers would come, so an indicator for when they were about to fire would be good.

Great mechanic. Really great visual style too. I thought it was going to be easy, but the difficulty ramps up at a great pace. Quite enjoyed this one!

Developer

thanks for playin :D

This is a very polished and creative piece with some amazingly unique gameplay and some fun puzzle platforming! I love the aesthetics of a saw blade in a sterile lab looking area with flesh blocks and lasers its so uncomfortable but silly at the same time. The game can definitely be a challenge sometimes, and I wish the lasers had like a second wind up animation so I could prepare for them more than just guessing when they'll next be on, but overall I really enjoyed this project, good work! :)

Developer

will def adjust the lasers post jam, glad you enjoyed!

I like how smoothly the saw moves with the mouse, and the creativity of the different levels!

love the art and the concept. really polished too. some suggestions would be the controls is a little clanky and the puzzle design is a little too simple.

Developer(+1)

will keep those in mind :D thanks for playing!

Very creative concept and well made. Unfortunately, it isn't the best optimized since I couldn't get it to run all that well on my laptop.

Developer

yea i’ve prepared a build that works much better on all hardware, i did not optimize sound and particle effects how i should’ve originally lmao

What a polished game! This game does an amazing job at actually making you engage meaningfully with its main mechanic! When the meat cubes came in I was really excited to use the saw in that way! Great game and of the most polished and complete games I have seen in this jam so far!

Developer

thanks so much!

I love the satisfying spinning mechanic of the saw very much! Great job!

thanks!

Very unique mechanic! I enjoyed my time with this game a lot, although it was annoying when I got stuck in the floor after using meat gelatin multiple times, but there's a reset button so it wasn't the end of the world and I'd like if the lasers had a charge up animation (maybe they get more red as they are getting ready to shoot) to make it easier for the player to time themselves; lastly dislodging your saw  from gelatin in my opinion takes too long, it'd be nice if it was able to come out faster since I had that bite me a few times with floor laser levels. All in all though, very solid entry, great music, great visuals, and if it gets a few more levels and mechanics could make for a complete product!

Developer

all very good feedback thanks so much! happy you enjoyed it as well :D

I enjoyed this game actually and I like the utilization of mechanics. They were setup very well!

Developer(+1)

hurray!

Very good entry! Good job, can't say that the meat didn't made me uneasy haha. Took me back to the time where I was playing super meat boy !

Developer(+1)

maybe super meat boy subconsciously influenced some of my design decisions lol, thanks for playing!

Oh I loved this game! So cute and fun, the spinning theme was perfectly executed. The hot jelly idea was so clever! Great job, this was very-very well done!

Developer

thank you so much!

The visual looks perfect, and the gameplay is challenging and fun,  definitely a game I’d spend my money on! And who created this soundtrack? It made me want to befriend the person behind it just to understand what goes on inside their head, the music is impeccable (please add me, I need the music HAHA). A 10/10 game.

Developer(+1)

music written by yours truly! really glad you liked it, as composing is my favorite part of the whole gamemaking process :D

Submitted(+1)

Maybe I'm just a sucker for games with 'little guys' as their main character but I loved the vibe of this game! The music was super good, it the movement felt very nice and the whole idea was very unique. The only critique I might have is to have an indicator/more telegraphing on the timing of the lasers, on some of those laser levels it was very hard to tell timing wise when the laser might hit again. All in all one of my favorite games from this jam!

Developer

gonna tweak those laser post-jam for sure. thanks for the feedback and glad you liked it!

I like that different usages of the single mechanic. I don't know if its the gelatinous meat cubes but it does remind me of super meat boy a little bit. Game play felt great, punishing but rewarding if you put the time in to master it.

The sound was a bit iffy for me at times when to many sounds were playing at the same time and there was some stuttering but nothing that broke the game (I was playing on firefox).

Developer

definitely could have optimized the audio better, but ill just keep that in mind for next time. thanks for playing!

Really well-made game! This is one of the most interesting mechanics for a platformer I have come across, and you designed some pretty clever levels around it

Developer

thanks! was very fun to design

Submitted(+1)

Fun little platformer. Using the saw was enjoyable, loved the colors too. It was a nice effect making the little robot go red as it's stamina war off instead of just using a bar. Honestly, it's a well polished game.

Developer(+1)

that's awesome you brought up the stamina effect because it was originally a stamina bar, then a buddy of mine brought up the idea of removing it during playtesting! glad you enjoyed

Very cool game and I love the saw mechanic. The only complaint I would have is how the saw snaps to a position after pulling it out of a meat cub and can kinda get stuck for a second. The puzzles are really well made and the escalating difficulty of them isn't too slow or too fast.  Keep making games!

Developer

i will!! thanks so much

Submitted(+1)

What a cool game! I really like the saw idea it seems simple but how you executed is very unique and cool, like spinning the gears in reverse or sticking to meat cubes and having to manually spin back the saw too.

The hardest level was the corridor laser one, I had to calculate manually when the next laser will shoot and time my saw which was cool but yeah some indicators would be nice.

Overall great art, great sfx, great game I liked it :)

Developer

thanks for the feedback! glad ya thought it was cool :D
