Cool idea to use the spinning mechanic this way. The driving physics are a bit unfortunate but still a solid first jam game 👍
I think the game is really cool, the driving, spinning buildings and cranes, and the use of the timer (time left instead of just a time trial timer) were pretty cool, and I had a lot of fun.
My only problem with the game is inair car physics. the car is pretty floaty in the air and feels pretty odd to work with. Once it hits the ground, it bounces, which stops me from landing and continuing to drive. The biggest problem with this imo, is that unlike in certain other racing games, there is absolutely no point in going in the air, because you loose speed, have low control, and have the chance of flipping over and needing to reset.
That's all I got, great game!!
The driving was okay - getting a grip of the controls took a moment because I forgot to check the game page for a control scheme, but once I was in I got it fairly quick.
The first opening stretch was pretty simple, and what stood out most was the sound design. I feel like some better audio mixing for the car and how it moves/reacts could go a long way to help the feel of this one. A time trial styled project about racing through spaces could be pretty cool, and the mechanic of shifting the space about you could've been used more in the opening stretch before the first checkpoint I feel.
City design was nice - it's got a very specific visual aesthetic it's aiming for, and it mostly hits the nail on the head.
This is cool, I love the vibe of the cityscape in the background. The controls were pretty solid too. It felt pretty zen to play, and I like the music choice.
Cool game! I always love racing around interesting landscapes, and the monochrome environment does certainly give this game a most serious vibe!
For advice:
I think having a slightly wider or a maneuverable camera angle could help as it could be hard to distinguish the road at times. And (though seeing how I drive in Cyberpunk, I certainly am not... road safe), I did get stuck upside down and fell of the map a few times. So having a way to fix that like maybe having a reset button would be nice!
Overall, this was a really fun experience!
This game ain't bad! The visuals and audio could definitely use some work but otherwise I like the idea for the game. It reminds me of the batmobile riddler challenges in arkham knight if you ever played those. But yeah this game could be pretty sweet if it gets some more work done on it.
Seems like an interesting concept to move the track elements around. It was difficult to see and I was stuck early on when hitting objects
