Cool game! The art was really nice and the perspective was fun, though it took some time understanding the game. Some tutorial and UI improvements would have helped a bunch! :D

Wow this is a very creative concept good job. Its probably one of the most unique things I've seen in the jam. If I'm being honest though, i spent way too much time trying to understand how to play the game lol. If you ever continue it I think it would be good to add a tutorial or stuff to explain what everything does more clearly :). But nonetheless congrats!

Also i love the t rex lol i just wanted to mention that :p

I’m happy you liked the T-Rex too! 😂 I was inpired by Tiger eyes for the dinosaurs! 🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖🦖 -Hey, your game menu screen is beautifully designed. I Wish I had time to make one.

Nice concept! I really liked the artwork (≧◡≦)

Developer(+1)

I’m glad you liked the concept and the art. The artwork was a lot of fun to create!

Hey, i played your game and involuntarily barfed “Rainbows” after spinning for 1 solid minute, i regret…nothing! 😄

It took me a while to understand the game, but once I understood the mechanics, it was really fun. Wish the game were a bit longer with more variety.

I enjoyed the music and I think the idea is interesting, but I still got very confused with the UI (also was broken on my screen, you forgot to scale it with resolution I think) and time rewind feature (I think the ticks are either programmed wrong or I just don't understand the mechanics). The graphics are fine, but some sprites stand out a bit while others drown in the background. Still managed to beat it in 9 ticks (which feels weirdly low) and I think this could be something even cooler if you added more levels and some story, or a randomly generated endless mode possibly. Good job anyway!

A little confused on what i should do, but i love the idea of reversing time!

Developer(+1)

You have to collect the eggs before they hatch. Reverse the time if the Number on them go down to 0

But thanks for trying it out, friend!

It took me a minute to figure out the mechanics due to the UI but afterwards I was able to understand it. Despite you trying to handle a lot of different things, I think you did well and I can see more levels to this!

Submitted(+1)

I was a little confused by the UI but otherwise cool idea!

Thanks for taking the time to grapple with my game

Your game was the most fun I had in my entire submission rating queue. Seriously, awesome work! The way you used the jam theme “SPIN THE WHEELS” into the core gameplay really landed. For me you are the winner!

Great job!

I think the concept is fun! I know you didn't have the most time left after ironing out your core features, but with a bit more content, this could be really fun!

Developer

Thanks for giving the game a try at this stage! I liked art in your game. Maybe i will update this game art style, art is one of my favorite parts to work on in any game.

Spinning back time is a creative concept and I think one with a lot of potential. I would add some level design and play around with the mechanics of the game and explore how turning back time can have lasting consequences or change how you approach a level, but other than that a solid entry!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I loved your addictive game as well! Just can’t stop controlling that tiny green gem on my screen

Your feedback on the effects on turning back time having some real consequences would be interesting, i will explore that in the mobile version of this game!

Me getting 4 reviews this early is a sign this game jam is better managed than Brackey’s game jam, like wow Super seriousness!

Very cute! I liked the visuals. Not a lot of replay ability though. The art is really good! The concept is silly but I like it.

Developer(+1)

I didn’t even have time to make a tutorial. I was too busy slogging through grid-based programming and pixel art.

The build I uploaded for this game jam is actually the test scene to check wether my grid logic is working.

Grid programming + pixel art = no time left for proper level design. 😅

Submitted(+1)

I totally get you. My team and I didn't even finish our battle mechanic...

Developer

ah..you can relate then! Those sleepness nights, thinking what logic broke the gameplay…

Submitted(+1)

Interesting idea

It's a bit difficult to understand what's going on at first, and visually I find the game to be a little cluttered

I do think it's a good concept though

Great job

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. Yes, the game could have a cleaner visual presentation but this build I uploaded is the test Unity scene where I checked my grid mechanics and grid tile contents. Actually, level design took a back seat since most of my jam time went into getting the grid-based mechanics with Time manipulation + Pixel art style.

I enjoyed your FPS take on the theme too. The limited energy meter made even simple chores feel surprisingly tense, which fit the concept really well. Could be a greeeeeeeeeat horror game if you want to lean in that genre!
