Hahah, excellent work! Very fun and cute game!

I really enjoyed the whole vibe of the game, and that you kept it nice and short and snappy. A small piece of feedback: I think it would be beneficial to have a more obvious visual indicator of the point around which you're meant to circle, or otherwise change how the spins are counted so that the cursor can go in circles anywhere? Without the guide, it seems like it's just a speed management game, but then you'll occasionally slip your mouse over a non-obvious point in the screen and it won't count as a spin. It is okay for it to be both a speed management and control precision game -- in fact I think that's a really cool game design choice, forcing the players to balance both -- but I think the requirement and visual feedback of the latter should to be communicated back to the player as excellently as you've done so for the former. Maybe an inner and outer ring that the mouse needs to stay within? Anyway. Sorry -- that was a really length paragraph for what is really a tiny gripe. It did not really both me that much!

On the whole, you've done great work here, awesome job!!

Very interdimensional. I destroyed my desk with the spinning but it was worth it.

I really liked the game mechanic. Really nice to play. 10/10

Nice interpretation of the theme, I'm glad you kept it to just 3 matches because it did get a bit intense on the wrist. That said, I managed to beat everyone without getting dizzy once 😎

Developer

Congrats on the achievement! You should go check the Juniper Jam Metagame then 😉

The hardest part for me was trying to spin out in the tutorial, although by the end I'd have no trouble doing that. I really liked the back and forth of spinning a lot but not too much. My arm hurts.

Submitted

Funny concept! I wasn't sure I knew how to control the spin since I didn't know where to spin around but hey I won the finals on my second run. Perhaps show the point of rotation or clarify if it's the center of the ring or the character.

Cool idea, i love championships! Well polished game. A bit tiring lol, never thought i would have to exercise in a game jam.

A way to see around what exactly you have to spin your mouse around would be great.

Lol my wrist ... plus my desk was shaking. Nice take on 1v1 spinning fighting game! I liked the UI and layout; and the arena as well. Great job to the team!

Submitted(+2)

It was really fun outspinning the entire multiverse! The only thing I would add is a visual cue for the mouse radius logic you explained in the previous comments. Other than that, great job, i had a blast!

Submitted(+1)

I like this concept, though I really struggled with getting the spinning to work consistently. It felt really unclear how or why I stopped spinning and what I was doing wrong. I think this could be a very fun little game with some extra time on control polish!

Submitted(+1)

this game idea is so goofy i really laughed with this game

my wrist hurts after it tho

my fav player is the cow

u did a great job on the setting of the game! liked the scenery

Submitted(+2)

The concept is awesome and fitting the game in a very creative way. However: the spinning controls could treat the player bias a bit better: it can happen surprisingly easy that the player just stops spinning and it is a bit unclear way. But I suppose this is due to measuring the rotation wrt. the center of the screen?

Still: cool jam game, be proud of yourself for making this!

Developer(+1)

Yup, the spin is measured as the cursor's angle around the center of the screen, so the radius of your circle quietly matters. If you spiral inward without realizing it, the cursor drifts toward the middle, the angle stops changing much, and there's a small dead-zone right at the center, so the spin can die on you with no obvious feedback. That center-dependence is exactly the bias you're feeling.

Thank you for the feedback and for playing!

Good luck with your voting :)

Ahh I see. I wondered why the game is seemingly easier, when not playing the game at fullscreen, but "minimized" at the itch page.

Developer(+1)

With this game, I discovered that "mechanics that are based on how a specific piece of hardware/peripheral is configured" to be a NIGHTMARE to work with 😅

So enjoyable to play!
Also, loved the models and assets

Glad you liked it ahaha

This certainly fit the theme. I like the colored ground showing the progress of the challenge. It kept the info clear and in front, without being in the way. Similarly, the dizzying effect was a great way to warn about getting close to the limit. I played through once, getting to the final, and losing there. It is not how I normally use the mouse and was tiring on the wrist, so I did not try again. It would probably be better using touch on mobile.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for giving it a shot :)

Yup, spinning around with the mouse is not something we do everyday and will hurt after a while.

Besides mobile, what one playtester commented was that it would be an amazing game to play in a Nintendo DS to which made me nostalgic of games like Pokemon Ranger

Thank you for the feedback and good luck with your voting!

Great game! Very funny and full of spins hahaha

Glad you liked it ahaha, thank you for playing and leaving a comment!

That was fun! Felt like a game you would play on the playground

Were the different character models just for fun? Or did y'all have plans to make unique character mechanics?

Developer(+1)

Hey thank you for playing!

I'm no artist at all, so the concept that I tried to do was "grab all characters I can find asset packs for" and ended up calling it the "interdimensional" as a worldbuilding excuse for I have characters with no artistic cohesion.

I did think that the player character could have different characteristics, as I had the possibility to set individual resources to each character, but then to make it feel polished I would also have to expand onto "character unlocking mechanics". This would be a great addition to drive player engagement, as I think the game is worth about the 2-5minutes it gets someone to reach the final, but alas time! This whole idea surged around 16h until submission and I felt the priority had to be in playtesting, bugfixing and ensuring that mouse sensitivity would dictate if the game was playable only for some.

Again, thank you for playing and good luck with your own voting!

Neat little game! I could not for the life of me beat the last fight though and after a few tries my arm started to hurt so I had to stop.

I can see some of a kind of ebb and flow thing going on with the spinning and the other combatant being stunned, but they recovered really quickly. I think if you leaned into that a little harder it might help the games complexity and help my arm not start to hurt as much.

Submitted(+1)

It was really cool to have to adapt our spin speed to no feel sick haha

In my computer, move rapidly my mouse made her really big hahaha

Developer(+1)

ahahah that's definitely a feature!

Submitted(+1)

lol this happened to me as well, didn't realized it just kept getting bigger if you never stopped shaking it.
