This game made me go out and buy a bag of potato chips.
I really enjoyed the game, there's just one problem... It made me incredibly hungry! Haha, good job with this one.
hmm the game was good and stuff but i got stuck way too many times i'd give it a 4/5
4/5 ??? THATS AWESOME! thanks alot man, I made this alone too so getting a 4/5 is a big win.
I can see the vision and how fun this could be! All your assets are quite impressive within the short timespan! Skinning the potato was so satisfying. I was sadly a bit stuck on the slicing potatoes part, even after seeing the solution in the comments and trying again, I couldn't do it. This is a great effort though!
i like the idea and the pixelart but somewhere along the way i do something wrong and have to start again. In the end the customer dont get thier chips... :c I like the Idea of the close ups for the preparation a lot.
i agree a tutorial would be good, i couldnt even manage to put a chilli even though i was pressing e. but its cool that you made all the assets
Idea seems interesting but I can't get to sell my chips even once, an in game tutorial would be super handy.
I really wanted to try running my own potato chip factory, but sadly i got stuck on the step to slice potatoes (at least i think that's what that was) and couldn't really figure out how to interact. Tried reloading a couple of times but I keep getting stuck on the same step. Maybe it's bugged? Ig I'll just eat chips irl.
Im sorry I couldnt make it clear but what you were supposed to do was spin the handle on top with a left right motion. But thanks for playing!
Great game for such little time! I think i'll just stick to EATING the chips. Great work, I had fun!
The interaction is little buggy, but this is impressive to have made all the assets yourself, awesome, keep it up! ^^
Thanks!
Instructions:
Step 1: Go to the customer (left) to see their order. It's always spicy chili chips.
Step 2: Pick up a potato
Step 3: Wash potato
Step 4: Go to specific point in the top belt and hold click around the potato to peel it
Step 5: Go to specific point on the right belt, hold click and move the hard to see handle at the top of the machine to turn the potato into chips. Zooming while in the station may make this even more difficult to see
Step 6: Go to fryer and stir
Step 7: Go to table in bottom left and place down your chips.
Step 8: Pick up the correct ingredient to the right of the table (always the chili, last ingredient box), go to bottom belt below the ingredients, and hold click on the blender
Step 9: Bring the seasoning back to the chips and hold click as you move it around
Step 10: Put the fries in the bag
Step 11: Give the chips to the customer
You then use the money you earn to restock the supplies spent making the chips, except the customer only pays $5 while the resources cost $7, meaning you always lose $2 and will eventually soft-lock.
Oh Thank you soo much! Also I forgot about the soft lock so thanks about that too!
This needs either a tutorial or a brief explanation of how to play in the description, but the fact you did everything by yourself in such a short period of time is still really impressive. And the concept is great!
There were Pointing arrows but I had to finish making the tutorial as fast as possible, hence the unnoticeable tutorial. But thank you for playing.
I was a bit lost what to do in which order when the sink wouldn't le my potatoes go, and found the room too large for the figure's move speed (I have a need for speed). The idea of making chips is neat though, I could enjoy the concept.
I actually had a bigger idea, which was to make a tycoon-type game for this and that is why there is some extra space so you could put some machinery. I later realized through the game jam that that idea was too far beyond my capabilities in that short amount of time.
Classic jam :) Let me know if you ever get around to it. I think people would enjoy any sort of Chocolate Factory tycoon game.
ok cool concept!. ..some improvements i would suggest:
Thank you for the feedback and thank you for playing the game
Very Serious ~_~
hehe
