This game is such a PEAK. I liked it a lot it beautiful, fun, has a good audio and gameplay loop. I would love to have more enemies types or bosses and maybe some difficulty levels.
SHOUT OUT, make more games!!
Had a lot of fun playing this! I love the outlines of everything so it stays coherent even when there is a lot going on. Very intuitive to play and the variety of turrets is amazing.
Oke I just played through this twice XD AMAZING!!! I am so happy I got to play this still before the timer runs out!
The art is gorgeous, there is so much different turret options and lore! If you decide someday to make an even bigger version of this please let me know cuz I would play the sh*t out of it!
At first I thought it was a little weird you weren't in control of the spinning at all but after you get more turrets it makes sense! Ricocheting shotgut bullets on all sides!! >:D
And it's quite well balanced too, even with all upgrades and full turrets you're never fully invunerable (although I do think the leach turret is a liiiiitle bit too strong)
Anyway I played through it twice cuz I wanted to try another builds! SO much fun!!! And I can see ways to expand on this idea still if you need any suggestions? :P Maybe upgrades that let you grow bigger and increase the overall amount of turrets over time, or have as you grow make the map grow slightly larger aswell so you'll have a little more room and could add larger type enemies!
Well I'm rambling now, those are not suggestions intended as improvements by the way! Just ideas for possible expansion cuz I love this so much!
Brilliant game!
This is so polished?? And theres lore??? Has to be one of my favorites out of this jam.
Love the little end message lol! Fun little game, I wound up playing it for quite a while, although I will say I bought everything pretty quickly, meaning there wasn't much point in the money or shop after that
loved the gameplay loop very fun to make builds and mess around with that
I really like how you handled the themes of "spin" and "seriousness," including two versions of each (spinning roulette + planet, a "serious" story about an intergalactic mob + an actually serious story about the planet taking over). My only real complaint is that I fully leveled up by level 9, so I was ready to be finished around that point.
This was so fun, loved the art and gameplay! Very build your own vampire survivors adventure. Great job!
Fantastic game! I had a blast with it. Love the art style! I also really like building out the ship, and flipping the script on the standard bullet-hell formula.
One critique is that it took me a good long while to figure out that the poker chips being dropped from the very start were, in fact, collectibles and not things that would damage my ship. They look a lot like the enemy bullets from later in the game. Maybe that's intentional (have to pay attention to which are which later on), but I would have preferred if they were differentiated. Also I'm not sure if I just got lucky, but I never really felt threatened for the whole run. It was still super fun, though, and not every game needs to be the hardest game ever.
The ending card when you win was also a pretty funny surprise; definitely caught me off guard.
All-around great game. Kudos to everyone involved!
banger of a game, honestly glad i lost cuz i coulda kept playing forever it feels! love the lore. the music is a vibe and the gameplay is definately addictive and yknow what? i really just love the title too, a bit of wordplay always has my heart!
this is good fun, after the first round i immediately had that "oh.. hell yeah" moment of realizing exactly why this was gonna be a good time. friend saw me playing it and immediately asked for the link. loooove the custom building aspect, allows for all kinds of playthroughs :) good work!!!
Abrupt ending was funny lol. The gameplay loop is really fun. The waves aren’t too difficult so there’s incentive to try out different loadouts. I just wish the upgrades took a tiny bit more effort to complete.
One of my favorites! Great work!
Really awesome game! I love the aesthetic and also the game feel of it! Though I do find the first couple of rounds very hard (I think its a me skill issue thing lol). But after a while I got use to it and I started destroying the enemies. Very great all rounder, love the visuals, audio's crisp and I would say its pretty serious! Great work!
Really great game. The art is phenomenal. The gameplay loop is clever. Maybe it gets a bit easy after the 3 round but that is subjective
Nice work! very cohesive and enjoyable, my only critique is that I wish there was more :)
First game I am giving 5 stars all around! There were a lot of things I really liked about this. The weapon variety was fun and I really liked the modifier system making you consider where to place each weapon. I was going to say that it'd be cool to be able to rearrange the weapons on the planet but once I got to the point I had all the upgrades I had plenty of cash to just rebuy things and experiment. I also really liked the story and specifically that you incorporated the spinning into it with the sunlight requirement for PETAL (also I'm a huge sucker for a good acronym and you had a few!). The enemy variety was also quite nice!
As for my constructive feedback, I think either the planet is too big or the plat area is too small. I felt very cramped the whole time even without trying to dodge the enemies and a lot of times they'd be in my weapons because the weapons were so big.
The "lore" text was a little small and that made it kinda hard to read on the background. I think this could be fixed with either shadows under the text or just bigger text as it was a lot easier to read on the buy menu.
Finally, I reached max level wayyy before the gg screen which was nice in that it let me experiment with the weapons, but I feel like the back half of the game kinda lost that sense of number go up that is really satisfying about bullet heavens.
Overall, great stuff!
So glad you enjoyed the game! Thank quilladile for all the fun acronyms; they did all the fantastic writing.
Addressing the feedback:
Thanks for the criticism, and thanks again for playing!
thats a really fun an creative one! loved the visuals
The visuals are so good and also the gameplay is simple and fun!!
Great use of the theme, great graphics, great gameplay loop, great game :D
I got to round 14 before I died with all the upgrades maxed
