Was very intrigued from the get-go because of the title lol. It was a little difficult to see exactly where the projectiles but it was pretty fun! Great job, guys!
Pretty difficult, but I liked the food weapon variety. Wish there was audio :(
Thanks for playing :) Yeah, difficulty and lack of audio seem to be the two areas where the game came most short in
Great game, love the lighting! Unique game, will you continue to update the game ? ✌️
I am glad you enjoyed the game :) I am really bad with post-jam updates, but hoping I will have time (and motivation haha) to do a few more updates so that we can just include all the stuff we didn't have time for.
Interesting spin (heh) on the tower defense genre!
Haha, I really appreciate the pun
Not gonna lie, the idea is very interesting and allows for some cool strategizing, but I have so much skill issues with this lol. I wish the ants were nerfed, they come in swarms and destroy my food in seconds 😭
Overall, nice work!
Thanks for playing. I agree the difficulty may have been too hard, especially without a proper way to communicate the aims. You should try to deal with the ants using the Corn on the Cob tower, might make it easier
Cool art direction and definitely a unique take on the concept which I would not have guessed on the first time, but I couldn't really get behind the gameplay or understand it so some better communication of the goal of the game could have been good. I also experienced a bug with the bottom menu as it spam closed as soon as I opened it. This game could have also benefitted from some sound. Overall its a fun little project but I just couldn't figure it out. Nice work!
I am sorry if the goal and gameplay were hard to understand. It is basically a tower defense game where you scare away critters using certain foods, and each food is better at dealing with specific enemies. The goal is to just spin and aim the towers before the critters steal them
I really didn't expect this gameplay
I really liked the concept, and how the theme was used
It works great, nice job
Thanks for playing, I am glad you enjoyed it
Oke well this is nothing like anything I ever expected hahaha but it was great fun!
Interesting take on tower defence, letting you spin the table around and move foods through them is clever, although it was a little hard to tell where I was aiming sometimes
Great fun! gg
Thanks so much for playing, and I am glad you liked the idea. I agree that if we can communicate the aiming better, the spinning mechanic would feel so much better
Interesting little game, though I'd say it's kind of difficult to aim the shots. Your food won't shoot unless it's down to a single degree perfectly aimed at the enemy.
But regardless this is a nice concept.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for checking the game out. The different foods actually have different shot angles, with the hotdog being the most precise. We definitely should have done a better job of communicating the aiming, though
I liked the game - i wish the hit boxes were bigger or aiming was easier. You have to be extremely precise. Overall engaging,
Thanks for playing. I agree the hit boxes were a little frustrating when playing, we had a solution in mind but could't get around to implementing it sadge
A unique use of the theme! Turning the food the table feels good, and I could see a lot of potential for different food types doing different things
Thanks for checking the game out and for the kind words :)
Super hard, at least to me, but also super creative! I've seen a lot of games throw waves of enemies at you in this style, but this would be the first time I've seen turrets placed on a turntable. I love this mechanic! Your team also did great on the art
I am glad you enjoyed our take on the theme :) Thanks for playing and don't worry, you aren't the only one that found the game difficult haha
I really like raccoons, lowk wish I could just give them the food and win lol. But sadly, I have to throw the crumbs at them so they won't steal all my dinner, which is a healthy diet of corn and s'mores. Overall, I had a decent bit of fun while playing it. It's a very unique "spin" on TDS. Great work!
Thank you so much for playing the game :) If you want to take care of the raccoons, you can just scare away the other animals but spin your blankets in a way to purposefully give the raccoons the food, haha. Later on in the game you also add hotdogs and bear mace to your healthy diet
So cute! Took me a moment to figure out what was happening lol, but it's very easy to understand past that initial hurdle. My main issue with the functionality was that spinning the wheel towards the bottom would make the menu pop up and it covered most of the screen. It's a little strange dragging the blanket with the mouse, you have to be precise for it to shoot but because its a mouse, it kind of moves out of place. I think the art is really cute, maybe in the future more assets to kind of make the space cozier? Or add a way to make obstacles for the enemies.
Yeah I noticed the UI issue after building as well. The UI specifically went through a lot of revisions and iterations, but the way it interacts with the spinning definitely can be annoying. Should have done more playtesting during development lol
I love tower defense games!! I thought this was a super creative take on the theme! I unfortunately did not cook lol, but it was still a cute and refreshing entry. Though I would loved to have sound with this game, I still enjoyed it.
I am glad you enjoyed the game. This was my first time working on a tower defense game, and it was a lot of fun :) Thank you for the kind words
The Idea is pretty cool, it's sad that it doesn't have any sounds, at least I wasn't able to make it play a sound, but the idea is fun, but it does require adjustments to the dificulty curve, which by now is pretty steep. I recognize the enemies are too fast already when you begin to play, maybe slowing them down at the begining would be an improvement, it's just like that in plants vs zombies and baloons TD, overrall it's just a lot to learn in little time, which is quite frustrating. Five stars for creativity though, it's a really neat Idea!
Hey thank you for checking out the game. Yeah, we did not have enough time and ended up cutting sound, regretting that decision in hindsight haha. I agree that the learning curve is a bit steep right now as well especially before you get used to the spinning
I like the unique idea. And the animals are sweat <3
Thanks for playing the game, I am glad you enjoyed it :)
I was completely not prepared for this game to be a tower defense, but I’m absolutely here for it. Loved the sense of humor. The gameplay was a bit hard to master, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
I am glad you enjoyed the game. Our team was consistently making fun of how the cute thumbnail completely clickbaits you too lol. The game is a bit hard to get used to, currently my high score is 20
The thumbnail for this game might be the best I have seen so far <3
This is a cute game. A nice twist on the tower defence genre. It would have been nice to have some sound in the game, it would really help tie it all together. I certainly did not cook hard enough...
Thank you so much, our artist really cooked with the thumbnail for sure. I will make sure to pass on the compliments. The lack of sound seems to be a recurring theme in the feedback, haha
Welp I did not cook :'(.
But at leastyou did great game :)
Thank you for checking out the game. It's not about how much you cooked, you cooked in our hearts :)
