Really enjoyed playing this, and I dig the music choices. Great visuals, and definitely lots of spinning!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Thanks for playing!
Super cool visuals although I found that the obstacles would frequently get lost when they overlapped with that audio visualizer effect. Also I kept running out of gas not sure what I had done wrong, and it took me several plays before I noticed that there was a fuel bar at the bottom of the screen that the crystals refilled. Other than those complaints a really nice vibe to the whole thing
Glad you enjoyed the game, those are fair complains, the bottom bar is kinda difficult to notice at first. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
Incredible and the vibes are immaculate. I can't get over how cool the audio visualizer on the ground looks. Is it a shader? Have you made the code for it public somewhere? I'd love to check it out. Anyways, awesome game!!
Yes the effect is based on a bunch of nodes and shaders I wrote. It's a bit of a spaghetti mess right now because of how Godot handles multi-instancing and me not having enough time to figure out if there's a better way to create the effect (it probably exists). I was thinking of making a couple of videos on YT, a video about this effect could be one of them. Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!
Super great music and visuals - fun to play - the quit button didn't work for me and i had to reload the game.
If you tried the quit button on the web version that's expected, I should exclude the quit button from web builds. If it was a desktop version then it's a bug/crash. I might apply a couple of fixes after the voting period. Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!
Pretty cool game, one thing I'd suggest is making it more clear when you need a gem to keep flying, there didn't seem to be an indicator of that anywhere.
There is one line in the very bottom of the screen, but it's not very visible and it blends with the background a bit. Also the ship booster dims when you're energy goes low, but it's not obvious enough either, understandably you missed them. I should fix the line color to be of a more vibrant color at least. I hope you enjoyed the experience anyway, thanks for playing!
The presentation is great, the spectrogram plane is really cool. Maybe it’s pedantic to say this but it’s not really a rhythm game per se as you don’t have to perform inputs to the music, but I enjoyed my time anyway! Good stuff.
That's fair, the track is guided by the music, loosely similar of what happens in Beat Saber, but I get what you're saying. Thanks for playing!
I really liked the vibes on this game! The style is great!
Glad you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!
I've played 4–5 games in a row, and this one is definitely one of my favorites so far. The main menu animations and visuals are excellent, and I really enjoyed playing it. Great job!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for playing! I tried your game too, very fun to play. I think I got a bug related to Firefox; from the second level onward the screen would go completely black, but, I managed to beat the second level staring at a black screen! :D
I'm writing here since I got a warning by itch. probably triggered by mistake after a login, as some automated anti-bot measure I presume.
Thanks for trying SpinMancer . I really appreciate the feedback! I'll look into the black screen bug and see if I can reproduce and fix it and beating the second level while staring at a black screen is seriously impressive! 😂 Thanks for sticking with it.
First impressions are great!! The menu looks awesome and I personally really really like the font chosen for the title of the game and the larger ui elements like the score screen. All the songs in the game are very good and well chosen! The visuals are really cool too, I'm glad there's slightly different colors for some of the songs and gives some variation. My only critiques is the bottom bar that shows the fuel status blends in too much with the background, it's hard to glance down and see how I'm doing and look back up at the game. Also I think someone else mentioned that the options menu doesn't seem to be working? I assume hitting "OK" is meant to apply the settings but it doesn't do anything for me. Either way, solid 5/5 enjoyment from me! Awesome job!
Yep you're right, options were broken, I patched 'em up just half an hour ago. You're also right about the fuel line in the bottom blending up, the ship booster also dims based on the fuel/energy you have, but I don't think it's obvious enough. I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, it's my first time making a game tied to music/sound, it was kind of a mess. :)
Thank you for your review and for playing!
Fun, wish there was more diversity, but enjoyed my small amount of time anyways.
I had a bit of more diverse thingies but the game struggled with the web version, the audio spectrum analyzer gave me some troubles. Thank you for playing!
I'm not a fan of such games, but I liked the idea. it seems to me that input buffering is needed. The sound settings in the main menu do not work
Hey! I fixed the broken options and the input buffering, thank you for letting me know! I hope you enjoyed the game a little bit even if it's not your cup of tea. Thank you for playing.
I'm hopeless at rhythm games so I was not able to do very well in this, but it is very well made, good job!
Did you tried the game on a web browser? Are the blocks moving too fast for you? I hope you enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!
