Fun, more mechanics and controls anywhere would be good!

Developer

I put the controls in the description since I forgot to make a controls UI in game.

Entertaining little game!

The graphics are charming and the music well chosen.

It wouldn't restart for me after dying and clicking restart (but that's not a deal breaker, because you can just reload).

Sometimes enemies get stuck on the player. Perhaps because the player and/or enemies are CharacterBody2Ds with motion_mode == grounded?

Developer

Yeah, I did notice enemies would try to suck your brains but I didn't really know how to fix it. The restart function doesn't work since I forget to unpause it after you press restart, it was literally last minute and I couldn't upload the fix to it.

Intresing game Idea! It could use little bit more depth to it's gameplay like; making a full spin to incrise attack or bounceing off stuff to not loose momentum. Overall good game.

Developer(+1)

I certainly agree that it could have more depth. The only thing that influences the movement are your health and upgrades. I didn't have time to get he UI working with the upgrades, but the player health influencing the movement was interesting. I was considering making harder enemies and having it so that you might be slow but do more damage? Something like that, but alas I was unable to put as much time into the game as I'd have liked to.

Simple but fun game! Great work! I like the player sprite and the movement feels very smooth.

Nano programmed the player and its movement, so you can thank them for the smooth movement.

I really liked the animation of the main character, it feels very smooth!

Also you might wanna add the controls in the menu for better understanding :D

Developer

Zelenir did the art for the game! I think it all looks great.
Since I didn't have time to add a controls UI, I took your advice to at least post it in the comments

Now I'm blaming myself for not doing anything for the last three days (I didn't draw the menu background, the menu itself, and much, much more). In any case, it turned out to be a good game for the time it took.

I am sorry for your UI! It may look bad but you should be pride that you made this game to playable state.

Developer

Yeah, I did end up making the UI. Was a bit rushed and I did try to make it a bit better, but it is what it is at this point.
