Not gonna lie, I don't really understand the game, but I absolutely love these rugs that the game is based on and I had some fun setting cars on fire. I really liked the look of the game and being able to drive around on these rugs.

Thanks for playing! Glad I could give some good nostalgia. I’m working on a more comprehensive tutorial and better UI design to make more clear

What began with nostalgia, escalatet quite quickly xD

What could be said has already been done by fellow gamers so.. Great submission :)

Thank you much!

Found this game because ours have the same name haha (great name! and we both did it in GameMaker as well :O). Love the concept of driving around on the good ol' carpet, very creative! I was struggling a bit with the default controls, but after switching them to the other input it became a lot easier (probably because I'm more used to navigating that way in games). It would have also been nicer to see the target times more clearly, and maybe a little clearer pop up with maybe a trophy or something after getting the record on each map, but I get that's that super hard to finish in just one week. Good job getting the game done either way!

Developer

Excellent feedback! I'll keep working on this game over the next few weeks just to polish it up after the jam is over, so this is beyond appreciated

Wow THIS is nostalgia! Keep creating games!

Developer

Heck yeah!

So cool to remember this old carpet I had as a kid. Thanks for the memory. I didn't fully understand the gameloop, but I had fun roaming around and throwing cars around :) Good job !

Thank you so much, happy to provide some nostalgia! I've heard that feedback pretty consistently. I think I set up the tutorial unintuitively since the first verbs you encounter are drive and destroy instead of racing through the checkpoints. New tutorial incoming for a future release.

I had a lot of fun throwing cars around the map (very cool map btw) and setting cars on fire, took me a bit to figure out what I needed to do but once I did, I had fun zooming aroung the map (very cool map).

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm going to rework the tutorial level to make the goal more clear for a future release. Glad I could make zooming around fun!

Submitted

Struggled figuring out what the goal of the game was but I liked the setting of it a lot

Developer

Good to know, I'll try to update the tutorial to be more clear in a future version. Glad you like the rug!

The controls were a bit unintuitive at first, but its really fun!

Developer

Glad you had fun!

Incredible, wonderful, there hasn't been a better racing game since SpyHunter on the PS2

Thanks for playing!

Interesting idea of spinning out the cars to take control of another, I initially misread the description and thought the point of the game was to destroy all your sister's toy cars by smashing into them, once I worked out it was a racing game where you switch cars when yours are damaged so you can continue racing it made more sense. The controls took a bit of getting used to, I didn't realise for a while that the arrow keys steered you in the direction they point and though left and right were steering the car left and right, once I worked it out I kind of got the hang of it. Using Esc for getting into menus doesn't work well on the web, where Esc exits full screen, also the game window doesn't resize nicely, as it's a fixed size, also the road graphics could do with being a higher resolution to more closely match the resolution of the cars and blocks! Well done on making so many different game modes in such limited time!

Glad you got the hang of it, didn’t even think about full screen toggle on HTML. Just re-exported the bug fix. So grateful for that 24hour bug-fix window!

Just wanted to let you know that the ratio seems to be bugged.

Developer(+1)

Was just able to fix, thanks for letting me know!
