I think this is my favourite game of the jam! I love a good puzzle and this was probably the best escape room style game I've ever played. the atmosphere was great, and the puzzles were really well designed. each clue felt like it was nicely built into the room in a logical way, and I appreciate how there was multiple ways of discovering some information. Waiting for the audio cue to see if I got the phone number correct was exciting, and the more straightforward clues/answers given over the phone were a great reward for solving a phone number. This was such a fun little game!!! well done !

Man, I'm so close to figuring this one out, but I haven't cracked it yet! I've got a notebook full of notes with three of the puzzles solved, but I've got something wrong with the final prize that I need to sort out.
I don't tend to play a lot of games like this, but I have to admit, it got me hooked! Really great job. Will retry again later to try to claim my prize.
Awesome puzzle! I think I didn't figure all the clues, but luckily managed to make the call. 🎉 I also liked that there was no punishment for trying around a bit when I was not entirely sure in my answer. :D Well done!
I came back to play again a few days after the first time. There's just something I really love about the atmosphere of this game. The room feels like a real place in a way that I've never felt with a game before. Very unsettling in the best way. Super inspiring
While this game was not for me, i could imagine if someone who likes escape rooms would enjoy it, so i will rate this game fairly. Zooming in on things would've been helpful, and hints, or visual clues could've been added (for example what can we interact with has a distinct texture or something). I don't like such puzzles where something could mean many things based on how we interpret it but it's just preference.
Really neat idea that I think was executed great! I suck at puzzle games but I quite enjoy ones that are in this sort of style. This game had me writing down things, making little notes as I pieced together the number slowly. Really enjoyed it, great job!
A really original idea that works beautifully. Having everything laid out in front of you and having to deduce from that perspective is a very interesting approach. The puzzles are well balanced, challenging enough to make you think without ever crossing into frustration. The visuals are really pleasant with a lovely PSX vibe, and the oppressive atmosphere built by the rain, the door sounds and the alarm beep had me fully convinced the ending would be darker than it turned out to be, which made those "congratulations" all the more delightful! 😄 Making something this complex in just one week as a solo dev is impressive, so very well done!
This game was great. Some of the numbers could be brute forced, but that comes with the territory. Maybe a notes section, or a hints system could have helped. But still, cool entry.
Really cool concept, I love figuring out what symbols mean what, so it was a blast :) I had to brute force 2 & 3, (and would've tried 5 too) but won in the end!
I solved all the puzzles, though it did take a bit of experimenting. Some of the clues were pretty straightforward, while some I had to think very sideways to figure out. The phone numbers really tripped me up. The primary number you were trying to figure out was 10 digits, but you also had two 5 digit numbers and one 4 digit number to call. I think it really would have helped if all the numbers you had to call were the same length or you made it clearer that the shorter ones were meant to be that short. After deciding I was just going to try calling one of the numbers, though had planned on trying to combine two of them to get to the 10 digits I thought I needed, everything else fell into place fairly well.
I also think it would have been nice if I could have zoomed in on some of the pieces of paper to get a closer look at them. I found a few of them hard to read, and I felt like I was missing a few things, even if it was just flavor text.
I wish there was a way I could have turned the smoke detector sound down or off. I understood why it was there, but it bothered me enough that I played the game mostly with my sound off so I didn't have to listen to it. I turned my sound back on a couple of times because I wasn't sure if there would be a sound clue I needed, but then turned it back off so I didn't have to deal with the smoke detector.
Thank you for playing! All very fair critiques as well - this is the first time it was pointed out that the numbers to dial being different lengths doesn't make sense, and you're right. I completely missed that actually.
I thought a lot about giving the player the ability to interact with items so that they appear closer, like most puzzle games let you inspect, but I decided to just make everything comically big to save time. Definitely something I should have done though. And yeh the smoke alarm bugged me too while playtesting haha, I just didn't want to add another switch in purely for that and misguide the player into thinking something else in the world changes when they do that. Probably a better way to handle it though!
Thought this was pretty fun, I wound up having to guess the numbers 7 and 1, not sure what the solution was supposed to be for them. The enviornmental storytelling displayed worked really well, and when I solved all numbers apart from the last one, I realized the answer to that number was literally right infront of me, and acknowledged by me, the entire time.
I think an in game notepad could have helped the experience, but honestly I am a fan of games making you whip out physical objects on your desk to solve/keep track of puzzles. I've had an idea for a game for a while that promotes the player making their own physical map of the environment to navigate with. I think the difficulty was just hard enough while not being demotivating. Overall pretty fun puzzle game!
Thank you for playing! I wanted to create an in game notepad, but I remembered while playing Blue Prince I actually really enjoyed the process of finding something and then whipping out my notebook to add in a new clue and link it up!
It is something that would have improved quality of life in this game though.
tight, well thought out experience, I loved every second of it :) the clues all made sense, except for 7? that one felt like more of a guess lol you also nailed the atmosphere with all the ambient noises and sound effects, great job
So cool! I loved everything about this. The art style is great, and the clues for the puzzle were varied but all interesting ("7" was the only one that felt at all heavy-handed to me). Not too difficult, but enough to make you think a little, and the little environmental clues were well-placed. The sound design was minimalist, but in a good way, too (the sounds of the buttons and the dials was really satisfying). Everything fit into a really tight, coherent package. And a dead-on application of the theme :) Really fantastic work, one of my favorite experiences of the jam so far!
That is an amaaazing game :D loved everything about it and the whole experience and how it felt not possible at points and then clicks, and now I have a very suspicious piece of paper next to me on the desk :D, the game feels perfectly designed, great work :) ♥
Great game! Next time please put a notepad in the game so I don't have leave it to write stuff down lol
I don't usually play puzzle games like this but it felt so well thought out and intricate, I didn't manage to complete it yet but I will be back to try again, awesome job, for the time frame I think you have a really great game!
