Super cute and funny! Loved the music! Was hilarious watching the lil guys go flying!

I encountered the same bug with the refresh rate, but I lowered it to 60 as one person suggested in your comments and I had a blast! So fun and cute, so happy I stumbled upon this game. Great job!

10/10 for the perfect name! I was able to play after following Aaven's heads up about the refresh rate and it was a lot of fun, good job. I just wish there were some sound effects for when you spun the businessmen off the wheel!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! We definitely want to add sound effects to it soon! Towards the end of the jam I was playing around with trying to record them myself and pretty immediately discovered that it is much harder than it seems haha

I see the vision. The premise is fun and I quite liked the letter from the boss! And it was fun throwing the businessmen off the spinning disk. It's kinda funny to think of a random company newbie having the power of a god to overlook the floor from a bird's-eye view and mass-eliminate people. I'm not sure if there were meant to be a second enemy type, the "manager", or these were all managers, but I don't think I encountered any secondary enemy type. The art is super charming! I see from your other replies that you're planning on building something more off of this, so good luck with that! There's definitely a seed of something neat here. It'd also be fun to integrate some whack company lore in the game too.

Developer

Thank you for playing! The way you phrased the "power of a god" bit is cracking me up, that's an excellent way to think of it. We didn't get a chance to add the higher level managers to the game yet, but those will be the first thing we work on. Now to think up some weird lore...

Cute little start, the audio is nice and the pixel art is cute.. what i got? a cool stapler. what did i not get? Enjoyment and the feel of accomplishment after reading through all that lore for the gameplay that waited for me after.. just spinning is simply not enough yet.. good luck improving it, would be interesting to see if you can build labyrinths or other things to protect the documents.. or have the interns drive faster via scooter, bring others coffee, etc..

Thank you for playing! Yes, we do want to build onto it in a post-jam release, and those are really neat ideas for us to consider!

I’m not sure if you’re already aware of this bug, but the game seems to have an issue at higher refresh rates. My monitor runs at 180 Hz, which caused the Evil Rival Corporation, Inc.'s extremely serious businessmen to move faster than intended and always reach the center of the trap floor. I managed to find a workaround by manually changing my monitor's refresh rate to 60 Hz. I hope you are able to track down the issue!

After that, I got to play the game the way it was intended, and it was a lot of fun launching the evil businessmen across the screen! The game had good humor, great pixel art, and the final result is impressive considering you both only started gamedev a week ago. Congratulations on your first game and on completing your first game jam!

Developer

Thank you so much!! And thank you for bringing that bug to our attention- we weren’t aware of it and now it makes a lot of sense why one of our friends was struggling so much when they tried it!

got the same bug, this was really helpful. thanks!

Funny little game. The characters fly off in a really funny way, and you've created a great cover imgae. But there's nothing else to say about the game. I hope you'll be able to make something more substantial next time. Good luck!

very nice! I noticed that sometimes the wheel also spins if i spin my mouse wheel. i think it would be even more fun if the speed of the floor wheel was dependant on my scroll speed, in case you ever want to go further with this :)

Ooo I like that idea a lot! We’ll definitely have to tinker with that concept- we’re hoping to expand the game more in a post-jam release. Thank you for playing!

I think I'm doing it wrong, I can only get one spin in before the three first guys get to the document in the middle.. :( Really cute, but since I die every 2 seconds the music got a bit intense.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for trying our game! We did have some issues with the businessmen being impossible to remove if they got too close, so we just implemented a fix for it!

I find very creative the spin wheel game. Also, it's very well coded and the pixel art and music are great! Great work!

The idea is very interesting. I enjoyed throwing the guys off but I noticed sometimes  there will be one guy that just resists the force of the spin even with 2 or 3 stacked spins? Not sure if that's a bug or if I missed something. Audio was a little loud for me, but otherwise great game.

The pixel business sprites are great, very serious. Throwing guys off the floor is fun for a while. I only wish there was more to it but sometimes that's how it is with game jams.
At first I didn't notice there was a spin gauge at the bottom. It felt like I always had plenty of spin power.

Developer

Thank you for trying our game! We’re hoping to add more levels to it in a post-jam update, since that was definitely part of the plan that we didn’t have time to implement!
