Really cool game! I'm not great at platformers (does this count as a platformer without platforms?), but this was a fun concept with a cool gameplay design. I did have trouble getting the mouse to keep up with the correct circle pattern though - I had to keep picking it up to move it to a better spot.

If you continue to tinker with it, it would be nice if I could just click and hold in the center for a slow spin (maybe I could wind it up myself for a faster spin?), or even if I had another key I could use for that. The challenge is nice to have to focus on two things, but my small mousepad was just too much of a challenge for me to get through it to the end, especially without damage.

Nice little game with a cute style though!

This is a very cute game! Thank you so much for making this! Keep making games!

Really nice hand-drawn visuals! This game is tough! Haha so if that's what you were going for, good job, you did it! Obviously hard to do during a game jam time restriction, but a few more levels that were at a lower difficulty, before these, I think would let the player get more into it. Nice use of i-frames and great work on your UI in general!

This is very good.

I am gonna say there is a significant effort put in to the art style and the paper geysers.

Great game overall, but it did feel a bit like the theme of the game was tacked on as the mechanic. Spinning the box while also playing the bullet hell did not feel β€œright” in a way. It felt like I was playing two games at the same time rather than one cohesive one.

Just about everything else about the game, I liked though.

Hello! I played several runs of your game and have a bit of feedback. Some of it mirrors what others have already said, but I like to give my complete thoughts.

  • Very cute visually! Love the hand drawn art style and that you can pet the cat. Still remains very serious though.
  • As others have said, the game seems to crash after you finish the tutorial. Reloading marks the tutorial as complete so you can still play the actual levels.
  • This game is hard. I assume there's only the two levels & tutorial right now but I wouldn't know because I could not clear Office 2.
  • I was playing on web which I know you said can be a little buggy (I'm on Linux and didn't want to install wine), but the game kept losing track of my mouse and making it so I wasn't spinning anymore, which made the game even harder. This might be alleviated if you could make the game full-screen, which I did not see an option for?
  • You crediting "The existence of cats" to "Planet Earth" in your credits page made me actually laugh out loud.
  • I think you can only pet the cat on the main menu? It would be cute if you could also pet the cat during game, just to flex on people because you'd have to stop spinning the wheel to do so, lol.

Overall, this was fun! I hope my comments come off as constructive!

Have a great day and good luck in the Jam!

I loved the game and I love cats so thats like, insane init, but its really cute and I really enjoyed and yeah as you said the web version did have some issues, there was some huge lag spike when the first attack came and when I clicked continue it went to a black screen

Very fun game! The tutorial was nice and funny, the gameplay loop is great, and the visuals are excellent. Great job!

Really cool game! Reminds me of an Undertale bossfight!

The art and music looks really well done and the game is very well polished.

The only problems I had with it is that the background was making me dizzy, and playing in a laptop with a touchpad wasn't very comfortable. I think it would be better if you could just move the mouse left and right on the lever to count as a rotation instead of actually having to rotate the mouse around it.

I really enjoyed this, the theming and vibe was on point!
I sucked at it though, so I recruited a second player to spin the wheel for me :P
Great Game!

Awesome music and sound effects, however I couldn't get past the tutorial as the game crashed both in web and downloaded

Submitted

Not sure If it is my problem or something, but the game crashes right after tutorial in both web and desktop versions. If you will be able to fix it today please let me know, really like the artstyle and the level of polish I could see even in just tutorial is awesome

I think this concept has a lot of potential, however the levels are insanely hard in my opinion. I could just be bad at multitasking, but the obstacles give you very little room for error.

I think if this game had a couple of easier levels to ease players into the gimmick, it would be a lot more accessible for new players. Otherwise I like the idea, as well as the art and music. The tutorial also does a very good job at explaining the mechanics.
