543 Street Lane is ordering a lot of yarn!

Nice little relaxing concept. It’ll need variety, choice, and stakes in the future, but for a jam, this is a neat proof of concept. Good job!

Great game!I had fun trying to get 5 stars! It would be cool to have visual and audio feedback during gameplay! The art is beautiful, and I liked the music! Great work!

I really enjoyed this! Great job on your first game :)
I enjoyed the music and thought it fit well with the gameplay.

Some things I think may improve the experience:
1. Audio and visual feedback when performing an action (prominently on the yarn drying phase).
2. Some variations in order preparation (ie not the same process every time). Idk what this would look like in terms of spinning yarn, but something to look into to prevent repetitiveness.
3. Perhaps there are some stakes involved. This may just be personal preference, but I'd want to be able to buy materials, dye, upgrade machines, etc and make profit for sending out orders.

I think you should definitely continue working on it!

Thank you! I had thought about implementing a few items you could purchase with money but I didnt have enough time to properly implement that. I appreciate the feedback!

The presentation and artstyle are so nostalgic, it reminds me a lot of the aesthetic of classic DS games! My only major cavet would be there's no real indication if you're doing the minigames right, some visual detail to indicate you're spinning/drying right would help a lot. But overall, this a pleasant and very enjotable game.

Developer

Thank you! I plan on adding (when I get more time) some more player feedback! I appreciate the advice, thank you!

First thing I noticed is the art. It's really good, and has a lot of detail. I do agree that it needs a way to let you know you're drying correctly. I thought it wasn't working until it moved to the next screen.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I hope to add more in-game feedback for the player during minigame sections after reading comments. I appreciate it!

Interesting take on the theme, therapeutic.

For the drying minigame I figured you could spam spacebar to get it to dry faster.

Developer

Thank you for playing. In my experience its easier to time the hit rather than spam, as when I spammed it tended to not work .

Really cool idea to spin some yarn, very chill and relaxing.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Really loved the relaxing concept! As a small piece of feedback, it would be great to see a bit more visual feedback in the dry yarn section.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I plan to add more feedback eventually after reading these comments. I appreciate the advice!

this reminds me of games like papa's pizzeria. very good, would be better if there was some sort of indicator of how well the player was doing while they were making the yarn.

Developer

Thank you! That was one of the things I was thinking of when making it so that's good! I will try to add more feedback for the player in minigames when I get a chance.

really fun game! congrats, i have only one suggestion: in the drying part put something to let the player know if they pressed space at the right time

Developer

Thank you for the suggestion, I will add that when I get a chance :)
