Wow! You added a bunch of stuff to this for a week long jam game.
The start text was hard to read because the starting point moved. It would've been much easier if the words scrolled from left to right instead of the start point moving to the left constantly.
The artstyle is kind of chaotic, You're mixing 3d, Pictures and Pixel art of different pixel sizes. (Some blurry some sharp) If you're doing this on purpose and want a "chaotic ADHD" feel to the game I can vibe with it. I thought I'd mention it if it's not intentional and you weren't aware this could come off as "low quality" or "incoherent" Maybe it's intentional since you also spin the background so fast to add to the chaos?
I felt like I didn't have much player agency even if I could choose the things to add and press space for each action. I'd prefer that the player had some say in what action they're doing. I didn't find myself needing to understand the mechanics and I just kind of zoned out while playing because of this.
I'm not 100% sure what sort of experience you are after but depending on what exactly you're after it would affect my feedback radically.
Still an impressive game for the gamejam time limit!
Very polished game as for a week work! Great visuals, animations and sound efffects! Cool that there is more than only rng spinning mechanism. Just a lot of text to read on skills XD After all very well done game!
I like the game but I didn't read anything about the tutorial or story (TLDR :) ) and it was hard to read about what are you choosing or doing in game, because there is not a moment to pause. At the end of the session I press ESC accidentaly, and then I saw you set a couple of entries to read without preasure of the game what it's every thing.
But despite of that, the game is very polished and there is a lot of content. Good job
I really love this game! The visuals and music is a banger! I love the way you add the spin mechanic to the game by using it to do a timing based attack and block. It's creative adherence to the theme. I would suggest to hove like a score system like how long did you survive or points accumulated so people could compare their results to others for a turn-based rougelike game. I also kinda agree with the previous comment that "The spinning background in combination with the lore text appearing the start of the game kind of makes me dizzy". I guess adding an overlay in top of that would help. Also a main menu music would make it also better.
Overall, it's a great game. I really enjoyed playing it! For you to have this kind of amazing output in one week, great job and congratulations!
Neat take on RPG combat. Would be fun to see in the context of a full RPG. Most immediate improvement would be different animations for the different attacks. With so much left to the wheels and the quicktime events it's hard to feel player agency during play. Connecting the different attacks that the player selected to the actual moments where damage is done would make that feel better without having to alter the function of the mechanics too much.
Wow, this is incredible to have made this game within a week, I'm very impressed! The art style, audio, gameplay, everything works so well together and it feels like a fully polished game. I enjoyed the roguelike elements and I really liked how there were two options to start out with, it adds more replay-ability. Overall, great work!
Very well made! The art is incredible and the music adds a lot to the fights. I love the way the spin mechanic is used here, and the perfect lands on spins encourage precision.
My only complaint is that fights can darg on for too long, and the intro is a bit of a text wall that could use more space between sentences to make it easier to red.
Hi, thank you soo much for the review, we made everything from scratch except music (we got it from our other projects), icons and enemy, player assets (free licensed assets from the internet which we included in our references in main menu)
Very well done. Attack animations, pacing... The core concept caught on quickly and you made the theme the centerpiece of the game. Not my type of game, but this was amazing!
I thank the queue for letting me find this gem. It's great; I had tons of fun and played both styles. Love the art and the presentation of the spin-to-win mechanic, and it's a good time killer. The music is appropriate and catchy to the combat, and the spinning wheel sound is kind of addicting, ngl. The only criticism is some fights may drag on and there is little enemy variety; aside from that, it's great and very serious for its premise. It succeeds in that.
Thank you soo much for your review, the enemy variety was a result of time limitations, we didnt have the time to implement multiple enemy decks ,instead we implemented scaling enemies with same design

A lot of detail to get in a week! Sprites look good and I like the starkness of the story and epic tone of the music

I find the game a little complicated, but I'm impressed by all the work that went into it.

amazing game!
I'm having a difficult time believing that you made this in a week!!!
Though, I don't know why but the first time I tried to play pyromaniac the game crushed and I had to restart!
I didn't regret trying to play the game again!!!
Really great roguelike game idea. Would love to see this expanded.
More people need to see this!! Its SO good! did you really made it this week?

wow, i am impressed by the art work. Animations are very smoothly done. This a gem. Great job
It was fun. My only complaint was that it felt like I spent a long time waiting for wheels to spin in between doing things.
The spinning background in combination with the lore text appearing the start of the game kind of makes me dizzy.
The game itself however, is really fun! Actually pretty fun and engaging, looks fun and sounds great. Good job!

Dude this is such a killer game, love the layout and the spinning mechanics for both the player and enemy
Thank you soo much! It really means a lot for us.
