Clicking the little move token things was oddly satisfying! Took me a second to understand but I think I've got the hang of it. Could you tell me what the piano song is called? I've heard it before and really like it. Decent little game, good job!

Ice skating theme is quite neat! I think some polish in a few areas would bring this game to the next level. It would be nice to have simple background music during the tutorial / picking your performance, section since the player may be there a while reading everything. I also think the UI of the move/card descriptions should have popped up off of the icons. I first missed that it was updating with their descriptions at the top of the screen.

A few changes here and there, and I think this would be even more charming to play! Good job!

Interesting take on the theme! It's a pretty cool concept. Not my type of game, but I can appreciate that it's well made in terms of the different combos you can do. Good to include a tutorial at the beginning, though I would say a more obvious UI would have been better as well, I got a bit stuck not knowing what to choose on the second round lol

Enjoyed my time with this game! Like the art as well! <3

Nice Idea. Love that you can combine diffrent tricks.

Graphics could be better though. Took me a bit to realise I can see the Requirments again in the selection screen.

I enjoyed my time in the game and really like the concept and fantasy but I think maybe the polish level detracts from the enjoyment slightly. I see potential here though and understand there is always limitations with jams so you should be proud of this because it shows some genuine creativity! What I didn't quite understand is the chance of landing vs the quick time skill check thingy? Does it have any correlation or is that even if you hit the marker you could still fall? Only wondering because I expected the chance to correlate to the width of the marker.

For some reason it was reminding me of Pokémon contestant shows and I'm not sure why :D

I was quite confused at the beginning of the game due to there being a lot to explain as well as me not knowing anything about ice skating. Definitely a super creative idea and like other people have said it would be sick to see the different tricks like a... triple toe touch? how do you touch your toes three times? However, I do understand thee was a time constraint and this is pretty good for one person. Nice job :D

Hey i like the idea for the game, picking your tricks and then actually having to do them is a fun formula but i think there needs to be more visual feedback for a game like this. I know its a lot to ask but actually getting to see my lil guy do different kinds of flips and spins and whatever would make this game much more satisfying. Also it would be good to have the list of required tricks viewable while picking my tricks, because i kinda lost track of what i needed to be picking. Great job still!

TRUST ME if I had the art aptitude and speed to do that, that wouldve been my first choice, since I am doing this solo i was struggling with trying to make it look pretty and bug fixing

My original plan was to have a different animation based on the jump to make it feel like the real jump but yeah it was too much for me

Also I did have a way to check your requirements on the selction screen I just didnt do a good job letting the player know, I got a good way of letting the player know but the edit deadline had hit

I have no idea what everyone else is talking about... All you do is pick some cards, click them at the right time, and the character sprite spins...

Love the dedication of drawing all the sprites. The theme is sick and original

Developer

thank you art is not my strong suit so I did my best

Alrighty! Play by play of this game. The name is good! Purple and blue is a good colour combo

  • I am getting no sound. I think this is a unity thing. I keep getting no sound with unity games. I'll play without it!
  • Ok so ICE SKATING YOOOOOO
  • Ok ok let me build this.
  • Oo I got 11 points first try. Let me do this.
  • Okay made it through both rounds and I love the requirements. I could lowkey see this be fun as a full game.
  • Sound effects are neat. The system of learning about ice skating is fun
  • And this is a serious topic clearly related to spin to win that I have not seen before!

Good stuff!

Thank you so much I am glad you loved the concept and thank you for the kind workds

great game one thing gi would say is that sometimes the sfx are a little low, making it dound like something bad happened.

Developer

oh I see I didnt think of it like that I thought  if it were too loud it could be annoying but yeah thanks for playing

Cool (pun intended)! The idea is quite cool, and I enjoyed the sound design (especially of clicking the buttons). There is indeed quite a lot of text to read and understand and it can get quite convoluted, especially with it only being 2 rounds. Maybe having it start simpler and lay them on more over time would help. But nice job!

Developer

Yeah the part I was dreading the most was the tutorial section since I didn't know how to get all the rules across I would've loved to make it better with more time but unfortunately it was one of the last things I made

But yeah everything you said was correct

The idea for this is really great. Being able to combine jumps is really cool and I can tell this idea comes from personal experience which is lovely. However, the Time to Play was very long, and there was a mountain of text to read through. Let the player play the most basic part of the game first, then introduce more mechanics. At the start, I think it'd be helpful for there to be an indication as to how many jumps you're supposed to put into the pool before you can continue.

Developer(+1)

I tried my best to shorten the text

I knew when I made it this was gonna be the killer but I just couldn't understand how to do the tutorial under ideal situation (where the tutorial WASN'T the last thing I made) I would've had a few more tutorial levels to get all the features
