This is a highly polished game with a really unique pixel art style. However, some things that can be improved are enemies sticking to corners (it took me a few minutes to find the first enemy) as well as the repetitive music. Regardless, I really like the concept and hope you expand on it further!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I was going for a Mad Max style crossed with low res pixel art. Turns out music made at 3am is not always the best XD I am really happy people want to see a larger version!

Very fun with incredible presentation! I especially appreciate that you resisted using rotated pixels.

I think the core gameplay and concept is awesome, and about as good as you could expect from a game jam. There's a couple of things that could be improved though, namely finding enemies can be a bit challenging (I saw someone suggest adding a minimap, I think that would be too intrusive though so maybe just add pointers indicating what direction the enemies are in), and that it wasn't always clear how to avoid taking damage (sometimes ramming wouldn't damage me, other times it would, I have no idea why). Otherwise this was great!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I have always loved the fully pixelated look so I wanted to let that be. I defiantly agree with the pointers and I am already working on them for a post-jam update. The damage system is also objectively janky so I will work on that. Thank you for the brilliant feedback!

I like the general atmosphere and juice your game has! particle effects and controls are awesome! My only problems are;
Music loop was way too short and repetitive :D And AI's often got stuck. But as i said i really dig the overall juice and snappiness the game has. A solid entry to the jam!

Nice game, I think it needs a mini map so you can have an idea of where the enemies are, the first time I played it I just couldn't find them, but other than I think you did a pretty good job here.

Developer

Thank you, yes, as said before, I am already working on something like that. Thank you and good luck!

Cool and even difficult game at some point! 😁

the pixel art and the concept of the game is really cool and unique,  And the gameplay was very interesting  too, it was a bit hard for me jajaja^w^, u did a great job ! keep going!

The cart controls feel very smooth, and the visuals are cool too. The upgrade system is also a nice addition that gives the game more depth. It’s a solid game with good potential. Nicely done!

Love the concept, I think it was to ambitious and did not really follow the theme, If you have to explain how it follows it.... unfortunately it does not feel playable, CPU always got stuck in a corner and even like that it was a struggle killing it. Also did not enjoy the sounds effects and music :/

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. For the explaining the theme on my page, I did not initially have that and that was fine, I just saw others had done it on their pages and thought it might be a good idea in case people wanted a short answer. Thanks for the feedback.

That's a really cool concept ! I really liked the aesthetic and the control of the cart, the gameplay loop is very fun and I had a great time, but I do have some complains that made my experience not as good as it could have been :

- Since the game wants you to go fast to deal big damage, the camera was often loosing track of my cart, making me unable to see where I was going, a lot of times you have to guess where enemies are. Sometimes I also lost my enemies and was wondering on the map to find them, I think a mini map would be a nice inclusion.
- I think taking damage is also quite unreliable, or maybe it's just me that didn't understood how the system worked, but when attacking my cart also took some damage back from the enemies, which didn't feel fair since (from what I've seen) we can't get back hp. Instead my strategy was to safely and slowly burn my enemies down with the flamethrower, and I don't think that's the gameplay the game wanted to encourage.

Thank you! The tracking system for enemies and a better camera are already in the works and would have been the next feature if time allowed. The damage system is a little janky and I apologise for that. In terms of intended play style, I tried to make different play easier. Sorry for the bugs, and thank you for the amazing feedback!

Had a great time playing this game! The controls had a good learning curve that was satisfying to learn.  With how fast the enemies move across the map, an indicator would be great. It's also a little hard to tell who took more damage when running into enemies. Otherwise, great game with great direction and art!

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Simple and easy to understand, yet still super fun! The only recommendation is to add an indicator of where enemies are when they are off-screen, because sometimes I lose track of them and can't find them for 20ish seconds. My first playthrough, I reset the game thinking it was broken when I couldn't find any enemies :/

Awesome feeling when driving around! Which was good, cause I played several minutes without ever seeing the enemy... I finally found it stuck in a corner, not able to get out from there. Also, the music was mind-numbingly irritating. I had to mute it after a while to be able to keep playing... Fix the enemy AI, camera, and music, and keep the controls and visuals, and you will have a fantastic game!

Great game! I really enjoyed the movement, and I liked the upgrades. They're really fun. The only issue is that it's a bit difficult to find the enemy on the screen. It would be nice to have some kind of indicator showing the direction they're in, as well as some damage feedback and a volume button. Other than that, it's really good!

It was satisfying playing it even though I died pretty early haha

Really cool game, the gameplay is fun and the visuals are really nice. If you ever decide to expand the game post jam it would be fun to have a way to restore your health as its kinda hard to not get damaged to kill the enemies (especially in the second round but that might just be a skill issue by me). Otherwise very cool game :D

Nice movement, I like the upgrade system too.

The movement feels really nice, I do feel like I was struggling to see where I was going a bit and it was kind of hard to find the enemies. I really like the visuals and the music is also fun, all in all great work!

really smooth game, I like the gameplay and the idea, music is also nice.

Cool game! The controls are very responsive and it's very fun to drive around. All of the upgrades were great. My only complaints are that the camera dragging behind the player at high speeds makes it kind of hard to see where you're going, and that it's sometimes hard to tell what will and won't deal damage in combat situations (i kept getting randomly damaged just by sitting in front of enemies ;-:). more feedback with sounds and effects for damage/collisions would help with this.

really fun with great movement mechanics although the spin to win theme isnt very obvious. Could get somewhere if more work was put into it
