nice lil clicker game

fun little clicker game, i like that you respected players time and keep it without too much grind. it was fun and the small plot was cool. also pixel art background looks really nice

Developer(+1)

no problem, i wanted to make a small incremental with a goal rather than an infinite one

Short and good. Played this while I have a fan trying and failing to cool me down, wishing it could cool the whole world a bit. The trivia was a great addition

Submitted(+1)

Very well paced, impressed you found a way to make a clicker game engaging with the trivia questions and the around the world facts. No notes, great job!

Short and sweet. Shame about the music bug but I won't hold that against you. Good vibes all round, I don't think I have any criticisms to add. Maybe that it was a little unclear what the "motivation" bar actually did? But it was fun to see the numbers go up (I probably shouldn't have filled it by only clicking on the cat).

I finally completed this game. It's pretty simple and has a serious topic along with some light-hearted moments. The dev actually implemented my suggestion pretty early in playtesting (it was the menu that showed the upgrades you bought). I think it came from wanting a better sense of progression from buying the upgrades but also I didn't want to miss the story if that makes sense. If the story is important and is mainly told through text, make sure it's displayed clearly and not skipped as easily. Take inspiration from visual novels if you haven't already. (I'm not too familiar with that space though) My nitpicking aside, I've seen you've done a really good job on this game. :)

Developer

Oh hey, thanks for playtesting the game

yeah the bought upgrade was a nice addition

thanks for those remarks

Very creative clicker. This genre is usually about number go up, but it’s interesting to see a number go down game. I do have some suggestions of things that can be improved.

  • Pixel fonts are hard to read, and can quickly strain the eyes.
  • The upgrade progression is linear, which is fine, but that means there’s no reason to think about any of them. You just buy them when they are available. I think it would be better to have like 3 at a time. That way the player would have to think a little.
  • Lastly, the progression curve needs some work. By the time we reach the end game, things move so fast that we end up missing a lot of content.

thank you, the decremental aspect was definitly a nice thing :)

I understand for the pixel art, glad you didn't see the first font i used (it was cursive and very hard to read) XD

Yes, i would have expanded on that if i had more time

It was a lot of fun, but I couldn't open the last biology question because it was already over 😭

I love these types of games :) Simple and addictive. The art style is quite nice too, and I love the view of the city!

this is amazing its really good! i like clicker games and both the visual and sfxs were good, my only issue was that there wasnt any music

Developer

aww sad, that's a bug in some browser , there's supposed to be some

Submitted(+1)

Pretty interesting take on the jam's theme. My only nitpick is that you have to wait for the animation to finish before you can click again. Other than that, not bad!

Developer

that's intentionnal to not cause bug, it goes away once the fan spins automatically tho

thanks for the comment

Love the "Hang in there" poster, very motivating. I am happy to say I managed to cool down the world without resorting to child labour! Thank you for being so active and encouraging in the community!

Developer

caaaaat

Ohhh, that's a great feat, you had morals XD

It's a good chill game where u click on a fan, progression is amazingly cooked and gets faster and better moving on,

the upgrades were good and left me wanting more upgrades, a bit sad it ended so fast but I loved the game

Developer(+1)

no time to make a big game but thank you i do believe i cooked the progression with the amount of playtest i got :)

I was finally able to leave a comment! Love the game and the background skyline!

Developer

i saw a comment of your earlier XD

thanks tho, your game was also really good

Love the pixel art! Super cozy which fits the incremental style. It was very satisfying seeing how fast the temperature ramped down. And like all incremental games, I didnt bother reading what the upgrades did and just trusted that "number change faster". Nicely done overall!

Submitted(+1)

Cute graphics. There was music in the beginning but it stopped while I was reading the initial letter. Would be nice to have some player agency, like having a choice between different upgrades.

I try to convince myself I don't like idle/incremental (decremental in this case I guess) but damn I play them through to the end every time, solid game with nice visuals and lore, I think the lore really elevates it. I do think some quality of life changes could really make it even better like more dynamic visuals, the right answer in the questions on the left... Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, the lore is definitly the most important part for me :)

yeah i think there's potential for more

No music for me sadly, a bug that i encountered. Also too slow for my pace but thats just me. I like the artstyle. This game reminded me to try cookie clicker again

Submitted(+1)

My first thought upon the game loading was "Oh my god thats such a beatufil background". The game is nice but a bit slow for my taste, the sfx were nice but there not being any music is really noticeable.

Developer

understandable, there is supposed to see music but some browser seems to not laod it

I liked the theming of this one.  There was a lot of fan spinning clicker games, but I found the framing of global warming interesting.

Developer

thank you, the subject is i think a very important matter so i wanted to raise awareness a little
